  • Pros: This little card pacts a huge punch for it's price. It can run Skyrim on High Graphics with only a Core 2 Duo.

Mean little card

Robin M., Newegg
26 November 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this as a "last PCI slot" choice to work alongside my 2x GTX 680's for rending in Blender Cycles. Obviously it doesn't hold a torch to them, but it adds an edge to my rendering times so I'm satisfied, especially for the chicken scratch that I paid for it and the nil time I spent...
  • Pros: The two reviews on this sight were highly misleading, very subjective, and almost caused me to purchase a more expensive option for no reason. This little card packs a punch for it's small size and small price, the large number of Cuda cores/Processors make it a good choice as a low budget 3D ren...
  • Cons: None in sight so far. For my purposes it seems "you get what you pay for," so if you want a more powerful and versatile card, then purchase a more powerful and versatile one. This card is also not the best (or cheapest) option for video playback. So once again, buy something else if you want a ca...

It works

Chi "I love history.", Amazon
7 October 2013
  • Summary: A minor upgrade from GT520...but with only 300 Watt power supply, my choice was extremely limited to begin with. Skyrim ran fine on medium setting.

good enough for physx

Ty C., Newegg
5 October 2013
  • Summary: i knew what i was getting into before my purchase, and i realize some people do not have the trouble i did getting hybrid physx to work. my problem is that i am fully aware that the problems with getting it to work were 100% artificially placed in the road by nvidia themselves.
  • Pros: finally got it to work for hybrid physx. fits in my packed pc case (got trifire hd 6970's hogging all the space) with the help of a pci-e extension cable. the sparse design and efficient fan keeps it cool. single slot, low profile compatible (brackets included). low power usage, no aux power need.
  • Cons: nvidia. that may explain it to some, to others who wonder what i mean, i offer this explanation: nvidia have added another mark to their endless supply of bull and lies when they began to actively block hybrid physx mods with their recent drivers. a year and a half or two back two representatives...

downgrade from radeon HD 6570

Thomas A., Newegg
29 September 2013
  • Summary: I'm assuming the 64bit bus speed is the cause of my problems... I will replace this card if I cant find a fix.
  • Pros: can run some games at pretty high quality with little stuttering
  • Cons: Almost everything like new games and streams from twitch on fullscreen stutter pretty bad...

Nice Little Card!

Anonymous, Newegg
19 September 2013
  • Summary: I tested this for use in a GPU Farm setup where power is more important than speed. It beats the 9800GT Akimbo 738MHz (OC) in the GPU-Compute area for my purposes and uses 5 times less power doing it! Very good for my headless farm systems!
  • Pros: No PCIe power connector! (Good for me!) Uses very little power. (about 25W?) Runs FP32 AND FP64 tasks OpenCL! (Good for me!) Typical excellent Gigabyte quality!
  • Cons: It isn't free! Could cost a little less...

You Get What You Pay For.

Ljay, Amazon
10 August 2013
  • Summary: The Gigabyte GT 630 is a very low end graphics card. I would compare it to using a 5000 series with 256 memory. My previous BFG 9500 with 1 gig memory can easily out preform this card with little to no lagging. The lagging is so bad that even on the lowest settings on my games will not correct it.
