Pros: I have installed 3 of these in different home computer/htpc setups. They are quiet (obviously), run cool, and put out great video. More than enough for any htpc, home computer, or light gaming rig.
Summary: there customer service is a joke. my 6670 by gigabyte went out after 4 months still waiting on them to rma that one. now this one went out after 2 weeks. i get this on there site RMA Request finished, waiting for approval.. approval for what its under warranty..
Summary: With the large heatsink, the card's appearance is almost "professional". It looks very good on my blue Gigabyte motherboard, and next to another blue E-MU sound card. A video card, as an output device, should not attempt to adjust its frequencies depending on the connected display. Any information read from them must be purely informative. The display must either sync to the card or fail to.
Pros: The card is equiped with a heatsink that occupies 2 slot spaces, it is secured to the PCB with screws and able to cool the card very well in temperature range from 42 to 62 °C (idle and full load) with high ambient above 27 °C. There is potential for overclocking. Video quality from the VGA connector is high, and better compared to Intel northbridge graphics, despite the way this connector is attached. Two additional low profile brackets are bundled, which allow all t...
Cons: The backplate of the card is rather flexible and must be secured in the chassis firmly on both ends, or it will bend when VGA is plugged in. It may not be possible to insert both the VGA D-Sub and HDMI connectors at the same time in some chassis due to the way they are positioned. The card will attempt to detect connected displays on boot-up, and output no video (!) if a display is not connected or powered on at the time. To get video, the system must be rebooted agai...
Summary: I use these cards in Dell computers in our office to allow people to have a dual-monitor setup. I love the fact that there is no fan to die or make noise. Performance is perfect for dual-24-inch-monitors (no gaming of course).
Summary: Totally maintenance free: set it and forget it. Bought for roughly 35$ just trying to avoid ATI products. I had little to no expectations and I ended up pleasantly surprised. Excellent product for workstation or HTPC / home server application.
Pros: Fanless design with low heat output., Low price point.
Pros: Satisfied with the Gigabyte product itself and Newegg service and shipping. Easy install and improved graphics as a result.
Cons: Don't let the manufacturers rebate influence you buying decision. I opted for the "no wait" rebate, where you forfeit 2 dollars of the rebate and get the rebate in 5-7 days. After much copying and sending in forms and proof of purchase and all, they denied the rebate! Said I didn't include an invoice copy. Which I DID include in the initial package. Sent it Again and they decided to approve it. Today, I got my rebate in the form of an American Express gift card, not a...
