Summary: GIGABYTE GeForce GT 520 Silent 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 DVI-I / D-Sub / HDMI Low Profile Graphics Card, GV-N520SL-1GI seems to work well and since I have it on 24/7 doing astronomical calculations, it does get a work out. I think the trick is to have it in an area of the cabinet where there is confirmed circulation of air...
Summary: Excellent value card. It DID take a while to receive the product, but it finally got here. It does feature a low profile bracket(s), and DVI to dSub adapter. The card fit in a low profile optiplex by dell no problem. It did consume the 2 shield spaces as it was in the low profile configuration. In the full bracket you will only burn one slot. It runs Skyrim and Crysis 2 at High settings, but gets jumpy on Ultra - even when maxxed out on voltage.
Summary: I wanted a basic video card to drive a third monitor (my main video card supports at most 2). It's low power, very quiet (can't get much quieter than silent with no fans) and drives the third display without any issues.
Summary: Although the product does work as advertised I have a problem with this card because the heat sink is so big that it interferes with connectors on my motherboard and because of this adds tension to both the card and the motherboard as I have to apply force to get it into its card slot. Otherwise it's a standard NVidia graphics card with no fan, and as such works great.
Summary: I tried to hook this up through my Denon receiver, but I ended up with a messed up picture. Using my other nVidia card, it works just fine. It's possible I got a dud, but doing a quick Google search shows other people with similar problems. It seems to work on some setups and not others.
Summary: The card was received with a bent connector plate due to improper packaging by the vendor. The vendor's box was not sealed and this condition should have been obvious during the shipper's packaging and corrected. The card has raised the competency score on Windows 7, but has resulted in the disabling of the AC97 sound chip on the motherboard and has slowed reboot time to a crawl.
Summary: Excellent budget video card that performs well. The card is very well built with a massive fan-less heat sink. I have always been a fan of Gigabyte products and the 'durable' Gigabyte products are awesome.
