Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 (1280MB) Review
16 November 2010
Excerpt: Quote from review: "Nvidia's GeForce GTX 580 may be the current king of the hill, but this could change before the end of the year when AMD launches their new Radeon HD 6900 series. So with the real high-end battle still to take place Nvidia is not sitting around waiting for AMD to strike back. Instead, they are getting ready to release their second GF110-based product.
Conclusion: The GeForce GTX 580 remains for now the fastest single-GPU graphics card available today. In the 13 games we tested, the GeForce GTX 580 was on average a match to the Radeon HD 5970, 25% faster than the GeForce GTX 480 and 46% faster than the Radeon HD 5870. So where does the new GeForce GTX 570 fit into the picture?
Summary: Given that the GeForce GTX 570 is a cut down version of the GTX 580 we were not expecting to see any records broken. With reductions to the core configuration, operating frequencies and bandwidth being cut anywhere from 5% to as much as 20%, we were expecting the GTX 570 to be around 10-15% slower than the GTX 580.
