DOA Video Card

Ryan B., Newegg
1 October 2014
  • Pros: So far I have none.
  • Cons: So I bought all my parts for my new build and the crown jewel was going to be this 780. I get it all built and everything seem to be fine but it would freeze and lock up on the bios. After two days of trouble shooting and trying everything that my friends and I could think of, we finally decided ...

Card is junk, stay away

JOHN B., Newegg
28 September 2014
  • Summary: Using EVGA's precision app I set the power to a whopping 58% of target and removed the default overclocks to achieve a semblance of stability.
  • Pros: - Beautiful card when it is not crashing my system.
  • Cons: - Cannot play newer games without completely crashing my system. Does not pass BSOD, just goes directly to power reset. Not a PSU issue. I have enough spare parts to test that much. Absolutely awful card!

Brendan G., Newegg
11 September 2014
  • Summary: would be good if EVGA had some kind of quality control that would check ACX better. So go buy an EVGA card, but not one with this stupid ACX
  • Pros: Great Gaming, surpassed all of the reference 780 ti benchmarks I could find
  • Cons: LOUD and BIG! I got this card and put it in a near silent build, and the fans make an awful vibration as they ramp up or idle. At certain RPMs the ACX just is really loud. I have RMAd my card, and they sent me a scratched up card that had an even worse fan, that at any RPM sounds like it has a ba...

Dead after 8 months of use

Shaw C., Newegg
14 August 2014
  • Summary: I have always had great luck with PNY. My 580ti is still running strong. The quality of EVGA seems under par. I would recommend that you spend your hard earn money only another manufacture.
  • Pros: Its as fast as they claim. But it ends there. Also the colors seem a little washed out compared to my PNY 580ti.
  • Cons: I noticed the first day that my rig was running hot after installing. I am running 5 case fans and it was still hot to the touch.
