Summary: I bought this card from Newegg last June. Why has the price gone up so much in the last 8 months? I paid $130.00 for this same card, and now they want how much? These are not even available at Newegg now. Why is that? I think, what we have is a company, EVGA, that realized that these cards were great, and people loved them ALOT. For $130.00, you would never find a card this good. I run all games on high or more, and it has performed flawless.
Summary: For a 500 series GTX, this gets the job done. However, I have a hard time maxing out my FPS in many games. It has left me longing for a better card. Save up and purchase a 600 series card or run two of these in SLI to get the power you need if you are a true gamer.
Summary: The card it's self is amazing and was absolutely a good purchase but I failed to make sure my power supply could handle it. The card requires TWO 6 pin adapters and I believe at least a 650 watt power supply w/ 24 on the rail to be safe and I fell a little short of that with my PC. After a call to a few friends I found a spare 700w power supply and was in business.
Summary: This videocard is a great card for it's price I definitely highly recommend this. It easily plays minecraft with Optifine everything maxed with sonic ether's shaders. it also runs witcher with everything besides antialiasing maxed I love this card it was a huge upgrade from my GT 220
Summary: +'s: Price, performance, size, it's quiet. -Fast -Good Drivers -Nice EVGA Utilities -A little faster than the HD7770 -Good Value -Great overclocking utilities -'s: It needs two plug-ins. But that's it on the negative side. The size is perfect, and the noise level is nothing. It runs cool, and so far, I see nothing bad to write about. Other Thoughts: My particular card overclocks fairly well thus far, been running 950/2250 on the stock cooler with ZERO voltage increases.
Summary: This video card is very good for its budget price. It's a card for those who want to play demanding games. I was able to run Crysis 2 around 30-50 frames on EXTREME settings, mostly 30-40 frames which is playable already and rarely goes below 30 frames so overall worth the price. I was able to run Dirt 2 at 50-60 frames on all highest settings easily. For under 130 dollars, it is worth the price!
Summary: It's a slick card, easy to install, silent and powerful. I had to buy a power supply because I was upgrading from a Geforce GTS250 so technology has moved on since and my power supply was paleolithic and no longer apt. I had to learn about power supply technology in the process. I bought a modular power supply, that is one on which you can select which cables and connectors to plug in to the power supply to feed your devices.
