Excerpt: This Graphics Card is approved by Apple for Final Cut Pro X and will work in Mac Pro models from early 2008 thus extending the life of your workstation for Pro Video Editing. It features two DVI outputs for dual monitors and an HDMI if you wish to add a third. It takes about 10 minutes to install and works seamlessly out of the box with no issues and no setup, unless you wish to change your screen resolution.
Pros: Affordable Solution, Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Good Graphics Quality, Mac Pro 2008 Up, Reliable Performance
Summary: Great gpu, Upgraded form 2 gtx 560ti running in sli and this tops both of those cards by far, never had a problem with any game, runs everythign i throw at it at 45+, only game i get 45 fps on is dayz and thats probably due to some other parts in my pc being not the best available, every other game is 60fps or more
Excerpt: I had purchased this little number for my Mac pro 3,1 tower in response to the ridiculous price of the new "Trashcan style" that Apple released.(I recommend you do the same if you are in video editing or digital arts)Basically this guy blows the pants off of my 3rd party upgrade GPU I had before. Boot time can be a little longer but from what I've read its because this thing is a beast.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Good Graphics Quality, Reliable Performance, Silent
Summary: I strongly considered throwing in the towel on my 2008 quad core Mac pro. I'm glad I didn't. I do mostly video editing with premiere pro CC. This card has transformed this machine. I hoped that it would allow me to color correct more easily by displaying my changes immediately without rendering. For that this card worth the money for me. The real bonus is that the adobe video Encoder also leverages this card for faster encoding.
Summary: I built my system last summer (2013) and added a second GTX 680 a few months later. The SLI 680 setup will beat out just about every single GPU currently on the market - if you can find them (it's a shame that nobody has them anymore new). My current system: ASRock Z77 EXTREME6 Xeon E3-1240V2 GTX 680 (x2) G.Skill 16GB DDR3 1866 Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB Respectable for a year old sytem, and still runs BF4 High/Ultra 16x MSAA HBAO at 100-120 fps (1920x1080).
Summary: Excellent upgrade to my early 2009 Mac Pro. The card arrived early, and the installation was relatively simple. No drama with startup, as well as with driver download and installation on my boot camped partition.
