Excerpt: Works well on 2009 quad core Mac Pro with Premiere Pro CC. Cutting feature length documentary with native HDSLR media and aside from occasional audio hiccup, CUDA acceleration makes playback real time without renders. Gave that old Mac another project.
Excerpt: Use it for video accelerator with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps. About 6 times faster than what my system was giving me. Great product for the right price. Complicated to get an output for a second monitor.
Summary: The only reason I did not give this unit 5 stars is due to the fact that booting into OSX Mavericks 10.9.1 frequently resulted in 800x600 resolution instead of the monitor native and those settings were missing in the display preferences. Multiple reboots is the only workaround, without buying additional software like SwitchRezX. Hopefully nVidia will release an updated driver to fix this.
Summary: This is a good card to upgrade my system, but read the reviews first. This card is wider than most and it fits awkwardly in my Lian Li case. The card does not fit well in the case, but it works.
Excerpt: With the supplied drivers this $[$] graphics board worked right out of the box. Just plug it into the Mac Pro, load up the drivers from the CD, reboot the machine and a great sense of relief is felt as the Mac boots right into OSX 10.8The card is seen by the Adobe software and allows selection of hardware assisted GPU acceleration. I am not using this for gaming so I can't comment on game acceleration. I'm running Creatice Cloud.
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Good Graphics Quality, Reliable Performance
