Strong GPU

Alfonso A., Newegg
  • Summary: This is a strong card, and I would buy it again if it weren't for the new NVIDIA lineups.
  • Pros: *The GPU has an exceptional cooling system that can handle overclocking quite well.
  • Cons: *The cards BIOS need to be flashed to put a significant overclock on it as it is factory limited.

EVGA GTX 660 3GB Signature2

Robert C., Newegg
  • Summary: I bought a 270X video card for my new build, but in Win7 64-bit I got really bad color aberration with the AMD drivers. I could barely read lettering on the monitor. Installed this GTX 660 card and Nvidia drivers and the video is perfect with no video problem at all. I tried a different ATI/AMD video card when I couldn't get the video to work with the 270x card, but once the drivers were installed for that card, the video was all color smears as well.
  • Pros: Works well; WEI is 7.8 in Win7 64-bit Ultimate; 3GB ram
  • Cons: It's only 192-bit interface

Disaster - Cost $320 to repair damage that ocurred right after this card was installed.

Grahamgolf, Amazon

  • Summary: Note to begin: The Video Card purchased definitely was compatible with our system specifications but when installed, the computer would no longer boot up. When the new card was removed and the original video card was reinstalled, the sytem still would not boot up. We took the unit to a reputable local computer repair center (with the new video card) and they diagnosed a faulty video card and a fried motherboard. Their work order stated "GTX Video card is non functional.

Heard these were good.

Odditorium, Amazon
11 May 2014
  • Summary: Not enough juice for me. I actually bought an EVGA GTX 770 SC 4GB but this one was my first choice originally. It's a great card though. I have a 1440 monitor and I needed something beefier than this one.

  • Summary: After the price hike of most of the R9 cards from AMD i decided to try out my first Nividia card and I must say I'm impressed! Runs very cool and so quiet I can't hear it over the CPU cooler.
  • Pros: Runs very cool
