Summary: Well, I wish my experience was as good as others, reading of which prompted me to buy this card. On Crisis 3 it barely outran my Radeon hd 6950 at same settings in Crysis 3 and Bio Infinite. Wow.... It also knocked my very stable i7 system with win7-64 on its ear with my keyboard suddenly disappearing and a host of usb devices "unknown" showing up for the first time under devices and printers. My printer disappeared as well. Device manager showed NO conflicts !
Pros: Runs everything on Ultra / high settings at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Streams movies to HDTV while using computer for simple tasks (Word, Excel, Outlook). Works great with two DVI Monitors and an HDMI cable running to the TV for this.
Cons: Had to RMA the first card. This was a fresh system build, started getting an error "Nvidia Open GL Driver Lost Connection - Error Code 7", followed google searches to try and correct error and worked on it for about a week with no success. Contacted Evga tech support, they had me try it in a known good system, it caused stability issues there and did an RMA on the card. No Flaws since.
Summary: Pros: I can now play Skyrim on almost the highest settings with the pretty texture packs. What more do you want? When I got it it came with a game through Steam. Cons: Wasn't free. Other thoughts: It's sad, years ago I would be posting all kinds of stats about my machine, the frame rates I'm getting, how many polygons this card can render, etc., now it's just a high powered boring video card that just works, and it works well.
Summary: This card has performed admirably for a year, at this point. It can max out almost any game currently on the market at 1080p without breaking a sweat. The exception to the almost any being Crysis 2, which definitely causes it to heat up a bit, reaching peak temperatures of around 60 degrees celsius, which, while within acceptable temperatures, is a little hot for me. I bought this card ofr a budget(ish) build, and it has performed above and beyond.
Summary: Great Card, I am using it in my newly Built Liquid cool Sys where I am Cooling the CPU, Memory, Graphics Card, and Chipset for the Mainboard! My system runs Way Cooler than Fans can Bring Regardless of how all the Fear tactics for Air cooling keep Pyling up!
