Great idea, bad experience

Ryan B., Newegg
16 March 2013
  • Summary: I don't know if it was just certain games, but this card crashes on me ALL THE TIME. No warning, and seemed to just do it randomly. It primarily crashed in games like City of Heroes, Champions Online and Star Trek Online, but it would crash during Battlefield 3 and The Sims, as well.
  • Pros: Great graphics
  • Cons: Crashed constantly

Wish I had bought 2.

Bonnie U., Newegg
12 February 2013
  • Summary: I flinch at the thought of buying a card that isn't EVGA. My 8800GTX lasted 7 years but I blame myself for installing an aftermarket cooler and messing with the bios too much. Anyway, this model is discontinued but I really wish I would have gone SLI when I had the chance.
  • Pros: Put through the ringer, single 1080p monitor, exceeded my expectations as EVGA always does. i5-2500k @ 4.7, 16gb Gskill ripjaws, this card blew Far Cry 3 away, not to mention Minecraft with tons of shaders and massive texture packs, but oh yeah... BF3, around 500 hours of it, single card, all ult...
  • Cons: None. EVGA has served me extremely well over the years. Thank you for being the reliable dudes you are. Now go teach other companies to fit your standards.

  • Pros: Amazing card runs all high end games on max settings.
  • Cons: Runs very hot, to curve this I use MSI Afterburner and scale the fan speed to adjust with current temps.

Good Price/Power Ratio

Mark M., Newegg
12 October 2012
  • Summary: Its a BIG card which may be an issue for some mobos/cases but not for me.
  • Pros: This card does anything I need. Plays Skyrim with high resolution texture packs with all settings maxed with no problem (as well as other games but thats the best example).
  • Cons: It gets hot. I haven't had it get hot enough to be a problem so maybe I'm just being picky but I can imagine a smaller case with less efficient cooling may run in to trouble.
