A Gamble

Anthony L., Newegg
8 January 2013
  • Summary: It's a nice card for the price, but you're taking a huge gamble. These cards have issues and if they send me yet another broken card, there's going to be a big problem with EVGA and I.
  • Pros: Ran really well and quiet when it worked. All games ran smoothly, and there were never any driver issues.
  • Cons: After about 4 months of use, I began to get artifacts on my display. They continually got worse and worse. Then as I was playing games, I would start to hear the fan making a really strange sound as if I was on a commercial aircraft. I requested an RMA for the card, and got another one a few week...

Good card, but overrated.

Micah K., Newegg
12 December 2012
  • Pros: Card was easy to install and easy to install drivers for the card. Worked well most of the time, had decent FPS and could play the games I wanted to.
  • Cons: Card crashed nearly every time i used an adobe program, such as photoshop. Also crashed during certain games and while livestreaming games. Also froze up my computer and forced a hard restart when rendering videos/HD images. Couldn't even play most of the games I owned. Returned the card and gett...

Won't work with my LCD monitor

Jason A., Newegg
26 November 2012
  • Pros: Big, pretty, good resolution, light weight
  • Cons: Everything worked fine on install. The next day when I try to play a game (that worked the day before) my Emerson 32" LCD TV I use as a monitor gives the me error "This TV does not support the output format, video resolution and/or refresh rate being sent by the connected device" and a black back...

Glitchy Card

John C., Newegg
16 September 2012
  • Summary: After having to return a defective EVGA GTX 560 while performing a system rebuild, I upgraded to this card. I figured it would probably be better all around and it had excellent reviews. I used the card for months without issues playing "lighter" games like Mirrors Edge and Bastion.
  • Pros: When it works, it's really a great card. Just Cause 2 runs at nearly max settings all around without issue, Crysis 2 at Ultra settings, etc. The overclocking and stress testing utilities are also very easy to use and helpful.
  • Cons: Whenever I play an "intense" 3D game like Just Cause 2 or Crysis 2, the game will inevitably hard crash, with Win7 identifying it as a "Video Hardware Issue". Despite this, the EVGA utilities all indicate that the card is stable. After having returned an EVGA GTX 560 for not functioning on two se...

Problem Found

zhengying l., Newegg
9 July 2012
  • Pros: It is a good video card.
  • Cons: It was functioning fine until recently, when I try to watch some video clips on youtube or any other websites, sometimes the screen will start dazzling, and freeze after couple seconds. I still have the warranty, can I replace it with a new one?

Great Card, Longevity issues

Lawrence F., Newegg
4 May 2012
  • Summary: I have many computers in my home, I just simply love them, rather then go out partying and buying things that you only use for the night, I build computers and set them up for the people in my house and for people that want to come over for LAN parties...as of right now, I have five set up...
  • Pros: I have had this card since the beginning of December of 2011...great card, ran WOW/SC2/BF3 on medium/high settings on my 22" 1080p screen like a champ that I knew it would be, being EVGA...BUT
  • Cons: while playing WOW, I heard a loud "POP" and my computer made some warning sounds and then shut off...again, I have had this card since December, and it was working perfectly...good thing I had my old 8800 GTS laying around...got my system back up...smelt kind of a burnt smell...I am thinking one ...

Card Worked Great for 3 days... THEN... it went crazy... looks like shattered glass

Virginia P., Newegg
12 February 2012
  • Summary: I am now going to have to hook up my 8800 GT and get 30 fps again on MW3 until I get a replacement for this card. I hope newegg is kind enough to over night me a replacement for this unsatisfactory experience I have been a faithful newegg shopper for close to 8 years I just spent tons of money with...
  • Pros: -Card got 91 FPS in MW3 with Extra and 84-86fps with Native settings -Card worked great for the 3 days that it worked... 2 eggs because it when it worked it was amazing...
  • Cons: -When it First arrived the box had a slit in it like sombody had accidently caught it with a razor when opening up another box that it was inside of.. I let this slide because I wanted to hook it up and try it out before I made my judgements. -When I first opened the packaging and got the card ou...

Busto in 2 weeks

Scott C., Newegg
3 February 2012
  • Summary: This is my first time purchasing from EVGA, so I hope they can make me a believer in their products/service this time around. All I want is a card that performs how it's supposed to. I don't think that's too much to ask. I'll report back when the new card arrives.
  • Pros: Beautiful card, very well put together. Solid device as far as craftsmanship is concerned.
  • Cons: Nothing but problems after the first week. - While the Windows crash is driver-related (Nvidia), and not due to EVGA's hardware, I cannot fault them; however, the card's hardware malfunctioned within two weeks and no intensive use. I spoke with a CS rep that seemed pretty knowledgeable, yet I had...

Crash Crash Crash

Chris C., Newegg
25 January 2012
  • Pros: Battlfield 3 looks awesome!
  • Cons: Driver crashes VERY often. Like, every few minutes. I didn't know what driver I had off the top of my head so I just waited a min for it to crash again... 285.66. I shouldn't have to bend over backwards and cross my fingers to get this to run properly.
