Summary: I'm very happy with this card. I bought this to get a DVI connection and improve the screen update speed for when I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop and it is a vast improvement on my old 256mb VGA connection that came with the computer. I installed this into a HP a6658f with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz processor that originally had integrated graphics using Intel GMA 3100. We had bought the desktop unit I believe back in 2008.
Summary: All I had to do was put the card in and turn the computer on windows down loaded the drivers, never put the cd in. I just wanted an upgrade for my old on board video card and wanted a HDMI port for my TV. If u order this card for that you will need a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable. I do have sound over the HDMI cable but u can not get sound over your computer speakers at the same time.
Summary: I live on a boat. The card was bought to allow my navigation program to display charts on a 30" flat screen so others on board can see our location and progress without hampering actual navigation. Another option is showing videos that are stored on the pc. I've used this card about a month. No problems. Easy install. Guests have used the pc for games with no complaints, but it probably isn't for the newest, most intense games.
Summary: buy this card if you are going to do coding or just setting up multiple monitors but don't buy it if you are planing to game on it if you attempt to game on it you will have to put the setting all the way down.
