Summary: Had a bit of a problem initially, the card was DOA. Sent it back to EVGA and they returned it within the week. Have been using it for almost a year with no problems now. Great card for the money/performance on a budget.
Summary: If you're not familiar with this card it's essentially a tweaked GT 220; from what I've read, it has more shader units, more textures, and faster memory though a slower clock speed. It's supposed to be somewhere performance wise between the GT 220 and a 9800 GT if that gives you a better idea where it stands in the lineup. A GT 240 comes in three different varieties.
Summary: Purchased this about a year ago. Within the first month my screen experienced lock ups/ freezes, which required unplugging the tower to reset. Over the past year I average about three to four of these freezes a month. Finally took my tower in for diagnosis to a repair shop and they told me it was the video card. I was skeptical, so I brought it to another repair shop, same diagnosis.
Summary: I bought this card to be able to watch broadast and internet TV on my computer an also my LCD TV. Plug in and set up was a breeze. Everything fit and worked perfectly. I hooked the DVI plug to my LCD computer monitor and the HDMI out to my LCD TV. Great picture and video on both. Clystal clear HD. Movies and videos run fine. I'm not a big video gamer, so this card was all I needed. Software was easy to work with and I was able to customize settings easily.
Summary: For the price it is a great card. I've been running it since Oct. 2010 and I haven't encountered any issues. Install was a breeze on my old Dell XPS 400, just plug it in and you're good to go. What is great about it is that it is not too big and does not require a power connection. Also, for those wondering this card gets me a score of 6.8 out of 7.9 for gaming graphics on my windows experience index, with the latest drivers.
Summary: Got a good deal on this with a rebate. Checked a bunch of online reviews before I bought and this is the best card you can get that does not require the extra PCI E power connection. Works great on Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Even at 1920x1080.
Summary: I've had this card for almost half a year now, I think. About 3 months later, I started having problems. I would get some weird artifacts displaying on the screen for a few days. Then the artifacts got even worst to the point that the whole computer would freeze. Restarting would help temporarily but soon after the PC would freeze. Windows (7 x64) would give me a notice about my display driver. I tried a variety of drivers but nothing would help.
