Summary: Great performance, noisy fan. Offers great performance on its own or when paired with a twin in SLI mode. For those of you considering SLI in the future, don't waste your money. I only did it because I got a second card on the cheap and curiosity overwhelmed me. Although the fan is noisy, it does a great job of keeping the card cool, especially when using a fan profile. The fans becomes noticeable above 40% speed and very loud at full tilt.
Summary: I purchased this card to upgrade the lame video card that came standard on my computer, and am very happy. I always used ATI video hardware in the past but became disappointed with the quality and driver availability. My experience with this Nvidia card is awesome. They provide regular (monthly) and quality driver updates, and the card runs awesome.
Summary: Well it is way too LOUD.. You have to blast your stereo or headphones to lessen the noise that this cards fan makes. I have a cooler master cosmos case, which is very quiet and insulated against noise. But this card is sooo loud that I can hear my computer is on from the other side of my house 40ft away. I wish I could have my computer outside and lock the door to play games so I can hear the game. Graphically the card is great. Just make sure you wear earplugs.
Summary: I bought this card to replace my 8600 GTS. I have undoubtedly seen a great improvement in games, but playing crysis at very high with AA is still not possible. Anyway I'm really happy with my purchase although Nvidia should take time to improve their drivers. They're still very bad and are not unleashing the true power of this card.
Summary: I recently purchased two of these for a SLI setup. The performance is pretty solid, even compared to my "old" 8800 ultra, with the added benefit of MUCH less heat. Installation in my tower was a bit tricky due to the size of the cards and the location of the secondary PCI-E slot, but doable. The bundle was a bit lacking, just the normal plethora of odd cables but that was no big deal to me.
Summary: My system Quad Core 6600,4gb ram ,Power supply:550 watts (Antec),Motherboard:Gigabyte x38:dq6,HDD:300 gb sata ,OS:Xp Professionall sp2 I upgraded from ATI x1900xtx to Geforce 9800 gtx(exactly 16 months) This card is huge ,you need to have good size case.I had to change the position of one of my hard disks. The evga card is well built and rugged.
Summary: I bought this video card from Tiger Direct via Amazon. They shipped the product quickly and right after I got it the price dropped $30. When I called to get that amount refunded to my card, they informed me that I could only get a credit to spend at Tiger Direct, which wasn't what I wanted, but I used it to buy Crysis. The install was easy in my Dell XPS-720 and this card easily handles all the games I currently play without any problems.
