Summary: My Optiplex is a "vintage" PC but it serves as an "always-on" station for phone screening, email and weather checks. But, I wanted more than the computer's built-in video. Since I did not plan to use the 15-pin D-shell, I just removed it by pulling the plug off the card's 12-pin header.
Pros: Inexpensive (less than $35) and an easy fit in a low profile PC. I put this in a Dell Optiplex GX620 low profile.
