Summary: Very happy with this graphics card, It has opened up new sets of doors for me in the graphics department for doing renderings. Also now I can actually fly those fighter plane simulators I have never been able to run until now. only concern is my second monitor I have hooked up only has red and blue, can not seem to get the red hue off it and it is probably something i did. But Tiger is good about returns, so if run into the same red screen Tiger will take care of you.
Pros: Glad to find this card for the price; not too many good pci cards out there at a reasonable price. Upgraded an old Dell Dimension 3000 and the o/b video wasn't compatible with Win 7 Pro SP-1. This card fix it right up, great color and motion now Customer is really happy. Ordering one more today.
Pros: Works great! I built my Asus KN8 motherboard computer the end of 2006 with 3 gig ddr ram. . Since I have built it I have updated it as needed. Started with Windows 98, then XP, Now running Windows 8 Updated It with a new PCI Rosewell sound card. The Video card also needed to be updated. I chose this card EVGA 512-A8-N403-LR GeForce 6200 512MB 64-Bit GDDR2 AGP 8X Model#: 512-A8-N403-LR, Item#: N82E16814130452 It worked right away, but it seemed to not be as happy as it...
Cons: Just go to EVGA & Register your product. Then Nvidia's website download their product driver checker . even though it said their was no available driver. It updated my driver over night. I think it just keeps checking until it finds the driver you need...
Summary: I upgraded my Dell Dimension 3000 from XP to Windows 7 and needed a new video card. This seems to fit the bill perfectly. Some comments advised that the existing video adapter has to be disabled from the motherboard. This is my first time playing with the innards of my computer - can someone tell me how I go about disabling the video from the motherboard? Thanks.
Summary: I bought this for my little brother, along with this power supply because his antique XP computer was lagging in Diablo 2. Single player. And multi player was out of the question. It worked, but he said it still lags with that, the internet, and skype open. I told him some few choice words and phrases that, summed up, meant "Yeah, no duh.
Pros: Doesn't lag when playing Diablo 2
Cons: There aren't any cons that I can think of off hand.
Summary: My old video card was so bad that no matter what monitor I used, I could not even download needed internet security and pc care software from the internet because the pages were impossible to navigate. The windows were so big could not get down to the fill in the form parts. Dell Dimension 3000. Installed this in minutes, drivers included are for Win XP, but within a few minutes on the NVidia site was able to download the corect drivers, now computer is like new.
Summary: At about $35 with a rebate this is a good value for fixing/upgrading a legacy computer
Pros: I put this in a 10 year old XP system used in my recording studio. I don't upgrade studio computers very often because it's a total PITA and you wind up with a lot of dedicated hardware that won't convey to a new computer (this system runs FIVE PCI cards for example). System is at Service Pack 1 and this card installed and fired up right away, useable even without loading the drivers but I went ahead and did that and it's working great. If you have an old legacy syste...
Cons: Not many, the card is rather tall, long, and the heatsink pokes out a good bit, my studio computer is in a giant rack enclosure, so if your system is in a mini tower be aware space might be a tad tight.
