Blue screen of death
Jim R., Newegg

Pros: Fit into slot Cheap
Cons: Software disk included is only up to Vista. Loading in old Dell Dimension 4600 with 32 bit Windows 7. Using default drivers gives BSOD. Downloading EVGA site drivers gives BSOD. Worked in VGA in safe mode only so installed correctly and operational, software is likely the reason. My old video car...
Summary: I bought this card to provide a Win7 compatible graphics for an old Dell 3100. Bad idea. While it seemed to work at first, it made the Dell completely unstable. Frequest crashes. Frequent re-boot loops. Always wanting to go to Windows Repair on startup, but Windows Repair could not repair the issue.
Summary: I bought this for my Dimension 4600 (with 4GB ram) to replace the 128mb ATI board that died. I figured 4x the video memory would be an improvement, but no. I tried watching a show from a Network TV website, and as soon as I went full-screen, the video started lagging horribly behind the audio.
Pros: Installed easily
Cons: Full screen video streaming went horribly out of sync (non full screen was okay.)
Summary: No matter how many times I re-installed this card it would work for about 10 min. and fail. My new 24 inch monitor would display a multicolored patten and loose contact with the system when attached to the card.
Summary: The only reason I am awaiting this card, that sat in their warehouse ready to be shipped for 72 HOURS, is that the last card they sent me was defective and I had to eat the shipping to me and the shipping to send it back.
Pros: Newegg packaged my order within hours to be sent to me (60 miles away). I was shocked to see my order status go to filled and ready to be shipped within an hour of my placing order and being billed.
Cons: My order of this card sat untouched in their warehouse awaiting to be shipped for 72 hours. Newegg has never before been this type of company, but clearly their service is declining.
Cons: Since installing the card I have been getting blue screens in Windows 7 that indicate a page fault error. Have installed the latest driver to no avail. I was not sure if the video card was causing the problem but finally removed it, went back to the on board video and have had no further blue scr...
