Worse than useless - Windows 7 or Vista
18 April 2014
Summary: I bought this card to provide a Win7 compatible graphics for an old Dell 3100. Bad idea. While it seemed to work at first, it made the Dell completely unstable. Frequest crashes. Frequent re-boot loops. Always wanting to go to Windows Repair on startup, but Windows Repair could not repair the issue. DO NOT buy this card for a Dell 3100 and Windows 7. You will eventually pull the card out.
Summary: No matter how many times I re-installed this card it would work for about 10 min. and fail. My new 24 inch monitor would display a multicolored patten and loose contact with the system when attached to the card. I gave up after many hours of trying and went bact to my old system card which works fine with the new Acer 24 inch monitor. My loss.
Summary: I purchased this video card, but it was not compatible with my system. This is a 3.3volt which WILL NOT work on my 1.5v. The specifications do not give you that detail. I'm sure it's a great product, but just an fyi, to check your volts.
Summary: This card is built with known unreliable capacitors that may fail in 6-12 months (mine lasted 6). When this occurs, you get all sorts of problems (booting problems, random errors or video problems including no signal). Yours may work reliably but I'm simply warning you that they have a high failure rate. Spend a bit more and buy from a manufacturer that does not shave every penny out of the build quality.
Summary: I got this card for a computer that met all of the technical requirements (power supply, motherboard, etc.) and when I installed it with all the correct drivers, it seemed to work fine. However, after two weeks of use, it began to randomly shut down the computer and crazy colored lines started appearing all over the screen. The display would go black, and the computer would barely even work.
