Fixed my old computer for Win 7/8

Hazmatreview, Amazon
24 June 2014
  • Summary: My old video card was so bad that no matter what monitor I used, I could not even download needed internet security and pc care software from the internet because the pages were impossible to navigate. The windows were so big could not get down to the fill in the form parts. Dell Dimension 3000. Installed this in minutes, drivers included are for Win XP, but within a few minutes on the NVidia site was able to download the corect drivers, now computer is like new.

User Review

AVProIam, Walmart

  • Summary: I recently bought this card for my older WIN 7 desktop to replace the onboard video. It is a 64 bit card but works fine in my 32 bit WIN 7 system. I did have to download the Series 6 drivers from the Nvidia web site.

Worse than useless - Windows 7 or Vista

RTPV, Amazon
18 April 2014
  • Summary: I bought this card to provide a Win7 compatible graphics for an old Dell 3100. Bad idea. While it seemed to work at first, it made the Dell completely unstable. Frequest crashes. Frequent re-boot loops. Always wanting to go to Windows Repair on startup, but Windows Repair could not repair the issue. DO NOT buy this card for a Dell 3100 and Windows 7. You will eventually pull the card out.

It works.

  • Summary: Used this card in a server board to free up the PCIE x16. It works with no issues. Windows 2012 and CentOS. I would not use this for gaming for obvious reasons. PCI Video = ancient.

Who this is for

ramstore, Mwave.com
21 February 2014
  • Summary: Our customer did not have AGP or PCI EXPRESS so this was the next best thing to install on their motherboard for extra video OOMPH. Wish it was more powerful but there arent too many PCI only video cards with graphics power (at least not cheaply)
  • Pros: PCI slot solution to video
  • Cons: Entry level card

This Card is NOT Compatible with the Newest Geforce 6200 Drivers

JohnDoe, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: Ok, I bought this video card and threw it right in my computer as soon as I got it. First, I installed Windows 7 on the PC, which is partly why I got the video card. Windows 7 had built in drivers for the card and they worked fine, but I needed to install the official drivers for using old games. I go on the drivers site and pick the model and everything and the drivers fail to install, and thats always great.

Great Video Card

Jules H. Kamin, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: My CRT finally gave out, so I bought a flat screen but soon discovered that the onboard video of my Dell Dimension 3000 couldn't provide the maximum resolution for the new 16-9 form factor. You have to download the new driver to get this card to provide this form factor and the max resolution. The driver on the CD doesn't do it. First physically install the card and then the new driver from the EVGA website. Use type 6 and then choose driver 296.10.

Works well with Linux and KDE4.2

Francis Larson, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this card to use in a Pentium4 D computer with an AGP 8x slot, with the intention of getting accelerated openGL and compositing effects at 1680x1050, in KDE 4. It worked. The installation was straight forward and it has worked as it should for 3 weeks now. I have not tried the Windows drivers as I do not use Windows on this computer. This is a good basic AGP video card. If that is what you need do not hesitate to buy it.
