Works fine for most applications, but jerky TV output
Edward W., Newegg
12 January 2014
Summary: It works, and was easy to install. You install the driver from the CD, and then plug one end of the device into your PC’s USB slot using the provided cable, and plug your monitor/TV into the other end of the device (those cables are not provided).
Pros: --This doesn't require a PCIe x16 slot--just a USB slot. A big advantage if your PC has only one PCIe x16 slot. --Works fine for most applications except TV. --Works fine on multiple monitor installations --Easy installation
Cons: For TV viewing, picture quality was jumpy/jerky, and the aspect ratio was off
Summary: I read all of the reviews prior to purchase and I made sure to dl the drive prior to hooking it up to my 2010 MBP.
Pros: Good enough to use for excel/word without noticing lag, no issue staying connected, the picture is clear, if I'm not playing video I cannot tell which screen is connected by this adapter or the mini display one.
Summary: Used in an office environment as secondary screen, so I cant really comment on the framerate, but it isn't for fast video, thats a given. Download the drivers from the product page on the website, dont bother with the CD.
Pros: Compact, has long enough usb cable. Driver install was easy and finished without a hitch. Came with DVI to VGA and DVI to HDMI adapters
Summary: This might be the first review I've ever left on NewEgg, but always look to them for input before buying anything around here... so take that as a sign as to how much I love this thing. I was looking for a way to add another monitor to my laptop, and this thing worked perfectly.
Pros: -Comes with HDMI converter also (not pictured). -Works with any computer I've thrown at it (even macbook air)
Cons: -Price I guess? I think there's cheaper, but I've seen people go cheaper on a USB-to-video solution before and have nothing but problems.
