Summary: Was surprised to see that this card wasn't really supposed to work with my 700Mhz digital Audio G4.. but it DOES - and with the Core Video enabled I can watch video that none of the other cards would touch. I just landed my hands on a G4MDD dual 1.0Ghz, and with this card I expect to play 720p content. Great for me as I have a real need to keep these old PCI-enabled machines running - lots and lots of functional expansion that I absolutely AM using. Thanks!
Summary: I love to watch baseball on MLB.com and this board makes the viewing perfect. The resolution is very good and my old monitor works at peak efficiency. A very good vidio card, I give it my recomendation.
Summary: 5 STAR--SO EASY TO INSTALL AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY-IT HAS MET ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS OF WHAT THEY SAID IT WOULD DO. I WAS LEARY OF IT AND WHAT THE OPERATIONAL RESULTS WOULD BE BUT IT HAS PERFORMED TOP NOTCH ! WOULD RECOMMEND HIGHLY.
Summary: I bought this card back in 2006 from local dealer for $50.00 less than on-line. I used it in a mac G-4 for a while but recently bought a used Mac G-5 duel and decided to see if it would work or not. I read conflicting stories that it wouldn't work in mac with duel processors. Yet the ATI site never mentioned any problems with G-5 duel proc.I had just upgraded to os10.4.3 which has your basic ati drivers so put the card in, added display drivers from disk and wala!
Summary: This is a pretty awesome card. While AGP is sort of a dying card type, this card certainly was a boost from my original video card on my 4+ year old Power Mac G5. So for people like me looking to get a video card that could handle Final Cut Studio 2 better (especially the Color application) this is the card you want. It's a little pricey for only 256mb but worth it.
Summary: The card was installed over two months ago on my PowerMac G4 MDD 1.67GHz (upgraded) machine. The installation was very simple, just pull out the old card and insert the new one. The only snag I ran into was that the system didn't reboot after I powered it up after installation. So I had to re-seat the RAM modules and it was all right. I had to remove the RAM module closest to the AGP slot to create more room to remove the old card.
