Summary: My PC is too old to display Google Earth - weak graphics card. Bought this one to resolve the problem, but it is a bastard size and will not fit my PCI slot. BE aware it does not fit a standard size PCI slot.
Summary: This so called obsolete technology is perfectly functional and priced about a dime on a dollar compared to any NVIDIA card. There is nothing obsolete in graphics cards. IE.Look at the potato chip bag; you will notice a print bar somewhere showing 12 colors and a grey scale or just black.Frito-Lay prints Dorito bags all day long with 35 year olde graphics; check out Pepsi cans in all three colors...or Pepperidge Farm frozen broccolli bags..
Summary: Works perfect in my 10 year old Dell desktop computer, and all the drivers were easily available. So far so good after a couple of months use. Several programs that I wanted to use required more modern drivers than my old card had available, this card's drivers filled the bill.
Summary: Ordered this card to try and revive an old Dell Precision 360. Card popped right in, no hassles. Only thing is that my interior 4 pin power cord was a bit to short to reach card. Ran to the "shack" and picked up an extension for 6 bucks. Hooked it up, switched on power, popped in driver cd, and 15 minutes later i was running "oblivion" on medium settings with no problems.(I didn't try to run it at high settings yet, that is next.) Running windows XP.
