The card has issues, but not as many as the Asus support system.

BaggerX, Amazon
17 March 2015
  • Summary: I purchased this card months ago, and while it had problems pretty early on, I thought maybe they were due to heat or driver issues. But I've monitored the temps closely and it has had major artifacting issues even when the VRM temp was in the 50-60C range.

Why you should buy the R9 280X

  • Summary: Definitely an R9 280X fan. I have an 4770k with it, and it runs games like shadow of mordor on max settings with 60FPS (its the cap). Or games that require graphics AND processing (like planetary annihilation) I've gotten over 100FPS These cards perform high-end for their price.

keith rupe, Amazon
6 February 2015
  • Summary: I run World of Warcraft in Ultra settings with 100+fps, drops to around ~70 while recording in 1080p @ 60fps without overclocking. I am also running duel monitors while doing this in 1080p. It is a rather long card though so it may not fit into a lot of the cases out there.

Crashes My Computer / Bad Unit / Worse Customer Service Ever

E. L. Haines "Nerd", Amazon
27 January 2015
  • Summary: Garbage; Complete, unapologetic garbage. Bought this card to replace the 7770 that came with my Asus CG8270 desktop. Initially, I loved it. Between it and the Corsair RM750w I bought, my system purred like a kitten and was quiet as a mouse, running modern games at high frame rates and beautifully...
