Summary: Never have had a single crash on this card - I strongly suspect people who have had issue do not know what they are doing and/or do not know how to build a machine that's properly cooled. Seriously have not had a single crash.
Pros: Card preforms very well and have had zero ZERO issues of overheating, crashing, etc and I've had the card since April 2012.
Cons: It's a big card and in smaller cases it's going to be tight. I feel that for all ATI cards AA is a bit weak - have the same issue with this card though it's been the best ATI I've ever had.
Pros: Love this card runs fast and cool. Had to re-paste to get the proper cooling factor i needed. After repasting everything runs smooth. I can overclock to 7970 specs and get great performance. Running stock this card runs fast and smooth hope to be picking up a second card for crossfire.
Cons: Card is big stock paste on heat sink is not very good quality easily fixed with repasting with silver or diamond paste.
Summary: Antec DF 85 (case) Gigabyte UD5 990fxa (motherboard) AMD 8150 (CPU) Cooler Master TX3 (CPU cooler) G.skill ripjaws X 4x4 (RAM) Antec CP-1000 (PSU) Asus HD Radeon 7950 DC2T (GPU) San Disk ultra 120GB (SSD) Seagate Barracuda 2TB green (HDD)
Pros: Plays everything I can throw at it on ultra.
Cons: Crashed on me once while playing BF3 on ultra for 2 and a half hours. Tried again but cranked the fans up & no issues it was even overclocked to 920 MHz. A lot of negative stuff out there about this card, don't know if I just got lucky with a good card or what.
Summary: Overall, aside from the buggy software, this card is a masterpiece of engineering. Aside from being kind of big, it runs cool, quiet, and saves money while doing it. Reliablity should be fantastic being Asus. Performance will definately be better with improved software tweaks.
Pros: Great quality. Quiet. Powerful, yet energy efficient. Runs cooler than anything I have ever seen for stock. Quality components. Runs alot like a Toxic Edition Sapphire Card.
Cons: Size.. Wont fit in every case. Software is buggy.. Use Radeon Catalyst Drivers.. Do NOT run the stuff that comes with the card, or expect to have some serious Windows Application glitches. Card was Discontinued. No where near as Dazzling as the Sapphire card Trixx software. Higher price.
Summary: I built my system new, all parts ordered from Newegg, with a ASUS Motherboard, Corsair Power Supply, 16GB ram, Crucial SSD, Intel i5 CPU, and a Corsair case, this card, works really well in this configuration, and I am thinking the problematic reviews are either people overclocking for bragging...
Pros: Runs anything I throw at it, any game, on highest settings, including CAD Drawings or rendering and Photoshop CS5 like a breeze. I have yet to see even the slightest glitch in the cards operation, although I haven't bothered with overclocking this card, haven't felt I needed to, at all. Granted, ...
Cons: 3 Slot card, and a few software issues, like lack of updates, are all I can think of that could possibly be considered so called "Cons"
Summary: Fantastic card, really fast and the fans do a good job of keeping it cool while remaining silent even during heavy gaming. One drawback that forced me to take away one star from my rating. The heat-sink is heavy, very heavy. So heavy that the card is actually bent while in my case.
