Fantastic Video Card

Andre L., Newegg
27 July 2015
  • Summary: Please read the manufacturers manual and do research before you buy or try to overclock. You'll save everyone from a big headache and awkwardness.
  • Pros: Great card for the money and I'm playing Witcher 3 now on Ultra High settings at highest resolution. Audio integrated with video card is perfect for my Home Theater/ Gaming PC, just one HDMI cord does it all. Had this card for almost three years and no problems.
  • Cons: No cons

Was a good buy!

Kirk T., Newegg
9 June 2014
  • Summary: I'm looking forward to my next ASUS GPU purchase and eager to move this card into my sons Z87 Sabertooh rig to replace my old HD4870's he's using.
  • Pros: This card! It was a purchase I made for an upgrade on my old ASUS Rampage Extreme lga775 from twin ASUS HD4870's. The performance is great, the cost wasn't too high. I enjoyed the card so much that when I built my new ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition I bought one of these for it. Gaming with this ca...
  • Cons: People who don't realize everything touched by man will have it's issues and should stop acting like children who want instant gratification.

Excellent Card and Performance

Christopher S., Newegg
24 May 2014
  • Summary: The ASUS HD7870 is a great card to pick up for those looking for a card that can take on a heavier load with graphically intense games at the 1080-1200p threshold. I am able to run a cool 60 FPS in Guild Wars 2 with everything maxed out (even oversampling), though frame rate greatly suffers with...
  • Pros: PCI-E 3.0, Great Fans, Easy To OC, Stable, Good Price-to-Performance
  • Cons: A tad large (but not giant like a GTI 280X)

Love this card

Roger. Sheldon, Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: This card runs great with no issues ever and cranks out pretty good fps in BF4 multiplyer. I would definitely recommend this card but cost is like $250 - $300 I think. Gotta pay to play.

Great card!

Matt P., Newegg
20 January 2014
  • Summary: Depending on the day, sometimes you can find a R9 270X cheaper. This does not make since to me because the 270X uses the exact same GPU and has faster memeory. Get the 270X if you find it cheaper.
  • Pros: Built a budget gaming PC for a friend and used this card paired with an fx-6300. Outstanding. Plays battlefield 4 on a mix of high/ultra in 1080p totally smooth, even during levolution events. 500w power supply is plenty for this beast.
  • Cons: Its BIG! But, I was able to fit it into a mid tower ATX just fine. A card this power cant be expected to be modest in size.

Great Vid card!

Kenton B., Newegg
15 January 2014
  • Summary: This card delivers some crazy bang for your buck. It's not cutting edge, but for the casual gamer, you can't go wrong.
  • Pros: This video card has taken everything I've thrown at it thus far and effortlessly delivered. Most of my gaming in the past couple weeks has been Saints Row IV on the highest graphics settings, and the frame rate is great. I haven't yet felt the need to overclock, and I don't think I'll need to for...

Very Nice

Brad W., Newegg
12 January 2014
  • Summary: Again IMHO opinion this out performs some R9 270X 2GB. Not from a synthetic but from " how it works period". I don't overclock cards anymore, I just want stability and performance. Heck I used my old 13.4 drivers and it runs great.
  • Pros: Fast, smooth, runs very cool.No hiccups or the feeling it's struggling. Higher detail, vivid color in games and 2d. I went through 3 Video cards with NEWEGG. I RMAd them all due to various issues. I don't even like small video card issues ,because I have yet to see a video card "fix" itself. I am ...
  • Cons: none yet and none expected!!

  • Pros: Good running card. Would definitely buy again.
  • Cons: Does not natively support UEFI, and ASUS doesn't plan on releasing a hybrid vBios that supports UEFI any time soon.

Great card for gaming! Altcoin mining is alright.

Peter S., Newegg
28 December 2013
  • Pros: This is a great card! Runs fairly cool and fans are quiet. Games are running without any problems on ultra settings. If you are using this card for altcoin mining (scrypt), you will max out stable at around 393khash/s. Gigabyte cards on the other hand will handle around 470khas/s and are priced a...
  • Cons: This card requires two 6 pin pcie power connectors. If you are using a two card setup, make sure your power supply will be able to handle the power draw and provide enough 6 pin pci-e connectors. The box came with a 6 pin pci-e extension cable only, but ASUS should have rather provided an adapter ...
