Good card

James B., Newegg
30 December 2013
  • Pros: Good at games, can always run stuff on ultra like Assassins creed 4 or battlefield 4. LTC mining clocks at an average of ~350 kH/s when at normal clock, slows on overclock it seems. working with amd athlon x4 750k 8gb kensington 1600 500w psu (really want a larger psu).
  • Cons: wish it would mine at ~400 kH/s like it should, but maybe its my rig. my next focus should be my psu.

Quit complaining

Nehemiah P., Newegg
29 November 2013
  • Summary: All the people who are complaining about getting a card DOA, quit complaining. Everyone who has gotten one of these cards has not had many(if any complaints) so just send it back and get a new one. This is a great card for what you pay. Only upgrade I would get over this is the new R9.
  • Pros: This card has given me everything I've needed and then some. I mostly play LoL but I have also played WoW, D3, DotA2, SC2, CS: GO and I am installing BF4 tonight. All the games I've had with it, I have run at ultra with over 120 fps on 1600x900 monitor. I also stream which can lower my FPS but I ...
  • Cons: The only complaint I have isn't so much at Asus as it is MIcrosoft for screwing up my drivers. When I upgraded to windows 8.1 from windows 8, they removed all my video drivers and this card was still running at a continuous 70-80 FPS w/o crashing.

Great Card, Quiet if Air is Circulated Well

A A., Newegg
16 October 2013
  • Pros: Has been pushing Guild Wars 2, Borderlands 2, Street Fighter IV, and Skyrim all perfectly fine on Highest settings. Hitman Absolution and Far Cry 3 can also be played on their highest settings if you dont mind a minor drop in FPS. This is card is extremely quiet if you have a well vented set up a...
  • Cons: None to date, Will update if any arise.

Great card, asus gpu tweak gave me bsod.

adam d., Newegg
14 July 2013
  • Pros: Nice looking, great cooling, runs everything on max or close to it.
  • Cons: Asus gpu tweak software gave my pc bsod so people beware. Dont know its my set up but my comp should kill sc2,sometimes i struggle to get 30fps until i restart my comp. Do urself a favor and dont pair with phenom ii 965. My upgrade to 8350 should cure it all.

Not Bad

Chris T., Newegg
17 June 2013
  • Summary: This card does bring out more color or maybe it is the 2GB vs the 1GB that I had on Nvidia. Since Photoshop and videos are my main thing, I decided to go with a GTX 770 and I hope that I at least get what I got out of this one and then some.
  • Pros: Cheaper for price/features than Nvidia Clean, clear videos from all sources! Clean, clear video games - it even made Project 64 and Dolphin games look clean with more detailed textures! Doubled the RAM that I had (560 Ti) Free Games!
  • Cons: Photoshop 6 performance is not that great or smooth given the talk about AMD's compute performance. On my old 560 Ti, I could zoom in and out with ease and smoothness, on here it inches. I also did not like their desktop implementation. With Nvidia, you plug and play and it is clean and sharp. Wi...

  • Pros: nice card got everything I need on it nice deal came with four games plus it is really quiet even on 100% fan setting
  • Cons: this card was bought for the size and stats plus the reviews on it were pretty good just make sure you measure your case I have a gigabyte sumo 4112 I measured it and it just fit with some awkward movements to install it cant be anything between this card and case unless you want to remove hard d...

Asus Hd 7870

Mark A., Newegg
31 March 2013
  • Pros: So far so good. New build with mostly asus parts.
  • Cons: Had some issues with latest drivers when using 55" led tv via hdmi. On reboot video card and its driver were not communicating. When installed the driver through the windows device manager that seemed to fix the issue. Will see how stable it is over time. 4 stars for now.

Awesome card, poor customer service.

Peter D., Newegg
28 March 2013
  • Summary: Would have given 5 eggs if only the customer service was good. It is a great card though and they do make good hardware. This is the first thing from ASUS I had an issue with. I just hope it's my last.
  • Pros: Awesome card. Custom designed PCB. EXCELLENT cooling performance. Excellent price to performance ratio Performance exceeds Nvidia card in the same price range.
  • Cons: Where to begin... ASUS is not known for their excellent customer service. The only reason they can still sell their hardware is because it is very high quality. If you are the one person out of 50 that has to contact their customer service, then I feel awful for you. They are rude, incompetent, a...

Solid Performance at a decent price

Zachary S., Newegg
11 March 2013
  • Pros: Hard to argue with the results, performed to expectations. The Asus GPU Tweak makes basic overclocking a breeze. Build solid and comes with everything you need! Always a plus when they throw in free games!
  • Cons: Price is always a con, but for the performance you are getting it is priced accordingly.
