Summary: After a period of time (sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes 40, it's random) the screen will just go pink. Usually the audio keeps playing, but not always. The only solution is to restart the computer.
Summary: This is a review update from my 12/23/2013 review. I gave it 2 eggs based on a price/performane/crash rating. At 120US I expect more punch and no BSOD issues which this card won't deliver (the punch or lack of BSOD issues).
Pros: Less than 60W TDP with a 128-bit memory bus and 1GB of GDDR5 memory. Quiet air-cooled setup.
Cons: The performance of this card is a bit anemic even considering it's humble hardware roots. ASUS over-pricing. BSOD on XPSP3 in Warcraft (ati3duag.dll)
Summary: I am considering returning it, because BF3 was the only reason I needed an upgrade. It is pretty silent and it's nice for normal work, but the it fails at the only thing I needed it for. Someone else mentioned problems with crashing.
Pros: - It is quick for 1440x900 resolutions and lower. - pretty silent - good cooling
Cons: - the asus GPU tweak never worked on my computer. Program just straight refuses to work. - it crashes in Battlefield 3 in an unpredictable fashion, in any time between 3 - 40 minutes. It is extremely annoying as you loose progress every single time. That have not happened with 9800 GT from EVGA. ...
Summary: Works with any game that is out or coming out in the near future. Doesn't require a lot of power so anybody can put this into their own computer. It comes Over Clocked about 3 percent so their is no need to over clock this card. This card was faulty and did not work with my windows 7/8 system.
Summary: Got this because this card seemed to have fit my needs, but sadly I've been having problems with it since I built my pc in June. Most common problem that I see everyone have with their card; "amd driver has stopped responding and has recovered".
Summary: I was surprised by the poor performance of this adapter. The last few graphics cards I bought have been trouble free - rock steady display with the decent resolution. Not in this case - I'll avoid ASUS next time.
