Summary: This card is amazing. It destroys everything I throw at it, and I plan to purchase a second as soon as its below $400. The cooler works wonders, in average gaming my load temps are below 70C, and in some more intense games like BF3, Crysis, and Metro 2033, my temps hit about 75C. Never gone past 80C even playing BF3 all night. On top of all this its just beautiful.
Summary: I waited soo long for gtx 680 so i decided to purchase this card on feb 18 on amazon and it was back ordered, it took almost a month for my card to arrive. It was worth the wait upgraded from my gtx 550ti to this and wow was I amazed playing every game on high settings. The only thing i dont like about radeon is that their current drivers suck some times it causes some glitchyness when i was playing bf3.
Summary: I ordered this card on February 16th and it shipped on March 19th. This is the longest I waited for a product, but it was worth it. Got it for the $579,- price, I'd rather wait than pay more for it. I upgraded from a ASUS HD 5870 v2 to the ASUS HD 7970 DC II and I really notice the difference. The main reason I got this card was Eyefinity over 3 monitors with full display ports, lower noise and lower temperature.
Summary: All in all this bad boy can handle whatever you throw at it, haven't ran into any lag in any game with ultra settings. Fan noise is beautiful, no noise coming from this gpu really, stays at 30c idle and max I have seen at load was 50c. 6 display ports for Eyefinity. Setup is easy, the only thing I fret about since switching to AMD from Nvidia is cpanel options for each display, AMD to me doesn't have that many selective options that can make regular display life easier,...
Summary: I haven't had any of the problems with this card that other people have so maybe i'm lucky or they're unlucky. This card has been great for me runs cool and quiet. It is large though so make sure you have enough room in your case for it.
Summary: I ordered this item February 7 and it didn't ship until March 7, and arrived the next day. It went in the computer great except that the plastic part of the side fan in my HAF X hit it. So, I had to remove it. Now, I have a Noctua NH-D14, GSkill Ripjaw Z's, and a i7 3820 on a Rampage IV Formula and it all fits! This card touches the fan clips on the Noctua but just barely -no big deal. It was a big pain trying to seat this card onto the board because of the back plate.
Summary: + A very good video card that alows you to play any game of the moment. HD 7970 Direct CU has the best cooling sistem from the 7970 series and you can really overclock it in a safe manner. I have bought it after reading some of the asus video card reviews.
