awful customer care

Summary: Bought an Asus Nvidia GeForce GTX780 Graphics card from another retailer. It failed after 6 months. After a week Asus are still refusing to do anything about it, and the retailer says they only cover warranty for a week. Asus have the most atrocious customer care- you can't phone them, only email and responses can take tow days- not that they do anything but tell you to go away. Buy from someone else or you might as well set fire to your wallet. Avoid.
Summary: My friend recommended the 7950 Radeon but Benchmark tests I researched showed that this card was only about 1% less powerful but about 60% cheaper. We have pretty much the same rig besides his card being the 7950 and there are no differences in the games we play. I use this card with 8gb ram and a 4670k cpu and it's a total beauty. Those combined items make this card really live up to be a beast when it comes to gaming. Recommended.
Graphics card is larger than specified and too big for my system

Summary: I ordered the ASUS HD 7870 and I checked on the ASUS website for the specifications which looked fine. From the photos on Amazon I guessed it was actually a HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2 and when it was delivered it is indeed that model. Anyway, the ASUS website [...] specifies the height of the card to be 4.25 inch while in reality it is quite a lot more because of the heat pipes along the top and was too big for my system.
Summary: Nice upgrade from the nvidia gtx 460 , plays Metro Last light with high resolution nice and smooth , once you turn off Advanced PhysX in the game options, great card at the price point , its a long card so check your case, no complaints
Summary: I was on the fence about this card, I had an older HD4xxx card that did the job (casual gamer here) that I'd had for 2 or 3 years, but there's always the appeal of a newer, better card. Plus there's OC potential, should things ever get any more demanding on the card. After a bit of thinking and deliberating I justified it to myself that this card would last another 2 or 3 years (despite being 2 years old itself now anyway). I have to say, I am impressed.
