Works on Dell XPS 730X

  • Summary: I had a power plug issue. I bought a plug converter here on Amazon and it worked to get this card powered. At first I was having issues with the computer crashing during the game. By chance I uninstalled the ASUS software that comes with this card (it allow you to tweak settings) - After I uninstalled the software and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers this card worked great. I was about to play Crysis 3 at highest settings. BF3 at highest settings.

  • Summary: I bought this card because I also bought a Asus P8Z77-V Premium motherboard. I have not been able to test the card. My MoBo went bad and needs to be replaced. My case has been replaced becasue I could not attach the card to the case. I should have bought the gpu card from EVGA. I imagine I would not be having these problems.

Great card - but be advised...

Widegoat, Amazon

  • Summary: This card requires 2 x PCI 8 power inputs to run. But out the box they supply the card with one PCI6 to PCI8 adaptor (and the one I received didn't work), so I had to purchase additional cables from Maplin in order to render this card operational in my system. For a card that costs more than 800 quid - I'd expect this to come supplied with better connectivity. Great card once up and running though.

Currently the fastest card money can buy, but is it really 'the best graphics card ever made'?

Danielle, Amazon

  • Summary: So over the holidays I completed a new build with two of these in SLI (basically a Quad SLI setup), it's very fast :) (You can find the build video on Youtube and also see some photos above). Basically, the GTX 690 is a card on with two GTX 680 cards bolted together, SLI 'out of the box'. Add to this the gorgeous 'trivalent chromium plating' and 'injection moulded magnesium alloy' heat-sinks and cooling and you have one very sexy looking graphics card.

Overkill on 1920x1080 60hertz displays at present

Bob, Amazon
12 August 2012
  • Summary: Maybe in 1-3 years this card might be fully utillised but i see no point in 100+ fps on games displayed at 1080 res..........so you are waitin on Microsoft and Sony for the xplops one and PS4 to appear for software devolopers to use this gpu tech etc......until then and soon the GTX660ti and HD7950 should be sufficient....so unless you intend to or like to willy wave alot then buy this card. For SLI go with 3 670's and greatly reduce micro stutter.
