Summary: Output from DVI was great, but when I added a display and connected it to the VGA output, I was disappointed. Resolution was poor, colors were washed out on the VGA output connector. Both monitors were identical, and purchased on the same day. I never tried VGA without using the DVI concurrently, I simply replaced the card. For a single monitor system, the DVI output was great, and the card can be used in systems with a small power supply.
Excerpt: I Dont do gaming at all, I do Video Editing and Motion graphics.Vegas, After effects, C4d ect. Pair this GTX 650 up with a good Asus MB, Hyper X quality memory, Power supply and an Intel CPU and it makes a big difference in your work flow. Best if you build your system from scratch to get the most out of it. Cheap components dont work well with this card.
Pros: 384 Cuda Cores, Easy To Set Up, Fast
Cons: Make Sure Your Cabinet Ha, Need Room In Your Pc Case
Summary: Far Cry 3 @ Ultra, NoAA - 25-40 fps Battlefield 3 @ Ultra 35 fps average Tomb Raider @ Ultra 40 fps average All of them were played at 1440x900 resolution with more than playable framerates. I didn't overclock the card.
Summary: I am not a heavy gamer, but I occasionally play several 3D sport games. This serves the purpose very well. What is more impressive is the fact that the fan is very silent compared to my previous generation GeForce, which has two smaller fans. I highly recommend this inexpensive quiet graphic card for light game players.
Summary: This card is very fast and whisper quiet. Runs very cool as-well. My only complaint is the hdmi. If you connect the hdmi out to say a lcd tv, this card will make the hdmi (also the vga too) the primary output. If you boot to an OS you will not see or be able to access (will only show on hdmi and vga only) the bios through the DVI output which is connected to my monitor. Maybe Asus will update the bios to fix this but for now I have disconnected the hdmi out.
Summary: This card is really good for mid-gamer card. I don't care what anyone say or do honestly but you won't regret this. But if you have the extra money just go for a gtx 670. For me this is good enough to run whatever I want :). Including Planetside 2 High/Medium. Battlefield 3 High/Medium on 1080p.
