Summary: I needed to upgrade my graphics card in order to play StarCraft II. After installing the card, I was able to bump up the graphics settings in the game from their minimum settings to high. I was also able to turn on the various special effects that would not work before. The card comes with some PC software that allows you to tweak the performance parameters of the card. That's pretty handy when switching back and forth between run-of-the-mill PC usage and gaming.
Summary: I am using this in an HTPC based on a Zotac IONITX F-E mini-ITX Intel atom 525 dual core 1.6ghz motherboard with an onboard nvidia ION GPU (1st gen) and 4GB DDR2 800 memory (512MB shared as graphics memory). (Built late in 2010) I use windows media center in win 7 with a Silicondust HDhomerun Prime CableCard tuner (3 tuners for encrypted digital cable TV).
Summary: Installed in to my HTPC and used the low-profile bracket from the previous card on it. (it doesn't come with one) It's a modern Nvidia product. Supports all of the latest features in the NVIDIA driver and is plenty fast for HTPC needs. I use Steam In-Home Streaming to it and am playing all the AAA games at decent speeds streamed from my gaming rig. It can play most AAA games smoothly at near XBOX/PS3 settings.
Summary: Generally I am happy with the purchase and the card's performance. Amazon was slow in getting the item out the door but it got it here. The hardware install was easy and the software, drive, and utility install had a couple of glitches. The first call to ASUS produced nothing but the second call, a day later after some recommended reinstalls and gyrations, got a definitive diagnosis and an action that solved the problem.
