Nice When It Works

Benjamin L., Newegg
30 May 2011
  • Summary: Works pretty good if you don't mind an RMA after first year and then every 3 months thereafter.
  • Pros: Inexpensive Plays most games at max settings well
  • Cons: Breaks after about a year. I had mine about a year and it simply stopped working. RMA process took about 3 weeks including delivery times. Got it back "Repaired" from RMA and it worked well... for about 3 months. Now it's broken again. Current plan is to buy a new card (not Asus).

  • Pros: Ran Call of Duty fine. Ran Starcraft 2 beta at high settings. Card itself looks cool.
  • Cons: Card died after 9 months. Monitor kept going to standby mode after computer was running only a minute or two. Connected monitor to another computer, monitor was fine. Booted computer with Ubuntu live CD, still happened, so I know it wasn't a Windows or driver issue. Bought a new card (not this sa...

SLI'd two GTS250's, + OC settings, still disappointing..

R. Mejia, Amazon
19 July 2009
  • Summary: This card is pretty fail when coming from a EVGA 8800GT w/512MB * 2 in SLI mode, I should have saved my money for a better set of cards.
