Asus GeForce ENGTX285 TOP review

24 December 2010
  • Conclusion: As things stand today, the Radeon HD 4870 1GB is the ultimate bargain part, while the GeForce GTX 285 offers added performance for about $100 more. The shy 10% performance improvement over the original GTX 280 doesn't excite us much, but it's also true that this card is more energy efficient and will run a little cooler and quieter, which is nice.

Asus ENGTX285 Top

  • Excerpt: When it comes to high-end graphics cards such as the GeForce GTX 285, the brand doesn’t make much difference because most manufacturers follow Nvidia's reference design. This means that you’ll get the same PCB and cooler and only the packaging and stickers on the card will differ. Since we have already gotten a taste of the GTX 285 running at stock speed, we wanted to see how good a factory-overclocked GTX 285 would be.
