Summary: I've had the Asus 9600GT Silent 512MB DDR3 for almost 3 months now and it's been running silent and fast for my primary application, World of Warcraft. Let's be clear: THIS CARD HAS NO FAN. All of the cooling is achieved through its unique heatsink and pipe setup.
Summary: I would strongly advise buying another card from another manufacturer. Mine failed after two weeks and Asus is refusing to respond to my RMA request. They are ignoring my requests, and their Web site says that they have sent an email, but none has ever arrived.
Conclusion: In testing power consumption for our graphic cards, the system components are kept consistent to help keep accurate results. To capture wattage, a Kill-a-Watt is used. It is plugged straight into the wall and the PSU is plugged in directly to it.
Pros: Superb performance for the price, Passive cooler is effective, can allow lower temps than reference cooler, It’s dead silent!, Costs only $5 more than the standard version
Excerpt: A great piece of kit at a great price! Usually with graphics cards the general saying is 'you get what you pay for'. In the case of the 9600gt this is definatly not true. For roughly £95 you are getting high definition quality graphics. The card itself comes presented in a nice looking box.
Pros: Very powerful, Cheap, Only uses one slot on the motherboard
Summary: un scheda video davvero bella e funzionante. è il ultimo modello di questa serie e la penultima come processore. la scheda video va molto bene, anzi SUPER bene su un computer che ha almeno 2 gb ram e un processore intel quad core oppure ancora piu economico il dual core.
