Summary: to begin with it was an easy install. Pieces for adapting it to a low pofile box were included. Total time to modify and install was about 15 minutes. As far as performance I wanted sharper video and the HD5450 delivers just that. I am not a gamer and that application would be the ultimate test. Sorry that is all I can say.
Summary: I am using these cards for Dell Optiplex GX 620 and 745 models (desktop size and small form factor). Why use this card? Low power supply consumption, quiet, 1024 DDR3, and it fits. Also, the card has VGA, DVI and HDMI connections to hook up video monitor, TV etc. Great price. Amazon prime shipping too!
Summary: I purchased this card to make an HTPC out of an old Acer X1200. The onboard graphics on the x1200 were not quite up to the task of playing recorded 1080p content with Windows Media Center (WMC), which is my HTPC tool of choice on Windows 7. I had some constraints to work with. 1) The X1200 is a small-format micro-ATX case, which means I needed a low-profile (narrow) card.
