Summary: If your looking to build a half way decent system with a limited budget then I would suggest this card. If you have a motherboard that supports 2.0 crossfire then buy 2. Nothing has slowed this card down yet, even my CAD and rendering programs.
Pros: I have two words to describe this card....FREAKIN' AWESOME!! It may not have a lot of memory but I have not found a game yet that will slow this card down. In fact I am buying another one here soon to take advantage of my 2.0 capabilities. Great value and cool game that came with it.
Summary: If you're on a budget and trying to build a gaming system this is a good buy. I built this system for a friend and he had limits. ASUS is the only way to go for motherboards and Video Cards. There Software is by far the best.
Pros: ASUS Software is the best! Solid Performer can handle anything I've thrown at it. Temps are good once have the fan speed adjusted. Price is very good
Cons: Isn't really comparable to its big brother the 3870 but you pay a much bigger bill.
Summary: No games have run slowly, although a few have dipped into the 30-40 range at 1680x1050 w/ a lot of stuff turned up. I would look towards the 512mb version if you are running anything higher rez.
Pros: DX 10+ ready. Includes a game. Asus OSD app lets you overclock on the fly (haven't tried), adjust fan speed, gamma, and most importantly... record/stream video and/or screenshots (like FRAPS). Runs great and pretty quiet at 1680x1050. Benchmarks about 3.5x faster than my old X800 (also made by AT...
Cons: Can get loud under a real heavy load (2 games so far). Have to continue using Asus drivers, not ATI ones, if you want to keep using the OSD. Card is a little long, but fit fine in my coolmaster 330.
Summary: Love the card, I haven't tried the included game, but the artwork on the card is fun to look at (before you close the case, that is!) I put this card in a Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R mobo and a Silverstone SG01 case.
Pros: Great value- very high performance for price. Not a huge heat producer- I have it in a MicroATX case that is the size of a breadbox and it has no issues running very, very cool. Included game is a bonus. High build quality with the heatsink. ATIs Vista x64 drivers work very well.
Cons: It didn't install itself? Seriously, the only con that I could find is that the card is physically gigantic. My MicroATX case barely fit it, so be aware that you may have issues in other small cases.
