Another challenge to my mental superiority and unflagging patience.

Summary: Okay, it's older tech for older computer. It is working well now. It came w/o software. But, it took a while, with many downloads of drivers, to find the one that worked, especially trying to run on Win XP. Up-graded to Win 7, which was not nearly so problematic.
Great value for the money for an old pc that needs and upgrade.

Summary: I bought this item to replace an aging video card in an older computer. I was happy with the fact it is a very fast video card for the money. Normally I purchase mostly Nvidia cards but ATI seems to make the only new cards for the old machines.
Summary: Have had a lot of trouble getting this card to work. Finally got HDMI video, but after installing the appropriate HDMI Audio driver and two days of effort I've given up. If you are thinking of this card because it has HDMI I'd seriously consider buying a PC with a PCI-e slot.
Summary: The main issue I have with this package is that the card does not come with the drivers. Without the drivers, this card is useless. I've wasted several days looking through the internet and downloading drivers that were supposed to be with this card but did not work.
Summary: This graphics card is a good performer (finally). I removed old drivers (using DriverCleaner.net) and then upgraded to the new drivers from AMD/ATI as of March 24, 2010. Re-ran the user-experience assement which reported a 5.4 graphics rating.
Summary: Installs easily. The position of the molex power connector makes it a tight fit if there is an adjacent card. I got a "system battery voltage is low error" that resolved with upgrading my power supply from a 200W to a 400W power supply (product site doesn't report minimum computer requirements).
Summary: I needed to make my brother old computer (Dell Dimension 4300) work with HDMI, but he didn't have a PCI-E slot - this video card did the job. I was worried about not having a big enough power source but so far so good and it seems to work great.
