Used Card?

Brian, Amazon
1 May 2012
  • Summary: I received a used card. I know this because the card was loaded with the 6970 BIOS set to switch position 1. When I switch to position 2 it is a 6850 again. Someone changed the BIOS and sent the card back, and they (the OEM) obviously did not flash it back.

  • Summary: Had this card since August last year and worked great. Until recently it stopped working. Shorted my board as well. No problem. Next time....I go with Nvida. Thanks AMD, u make a believer out of me. More details you can comment and I'll reply but I feel i should waste no more time on this card.

  • Summary: Pros: -Unlocked to 6970 shader levels with RBE. -I get stupidly high framerates in Just Cause 2, among other games. -Draw a surprisingly low amount of amperage for their power. -Running 3 19" 1280x1024 monitors in eyefinity without so much as a hiccup. -5 year warranty if you register.

Power-hungry, very big, but worth it.

Paul, Amazon
20 November 2011
  • Summary: This thing takes over a fair chunk of internal space, covering two slots, and requiring 2 exit spaces on the back for all the ports (obvious from the picture!) so make sure your main board has the slots the right way around to take it. Requires two 6-pin power inputs, so it's hungry for power too.

Great Card

krazytaco, Amazon
13 November 2011
  • Summary: I bought this card recently to play Battlefield 3 with (along with a I5 2500k and 8GB of RAM) and it runs awesome. I was concerned at first that since I run dual monitors that 1GB of VRAM wouldn't be enough, however it works just fine and I can run BF3 on Ultra settings with a consistent and...

Good buy no regrets!

Wendy, Amazon
10 October 2011
  • Summary: The performance of this card can not be in question. I'm playing games at 1080p with everything turned up, no trouble at all. However it should be noted that the video card I received did not match the pictures that I saw on Amazon.
