It didn't work!
11 September 2012
Summary: I was pretty bummed to find out that it didn't work after opening the box. Nothing looked out of place so I don't think it was previously used or tampered with. I might have just been that lucky guy that got a one-in-a-whatever chance of receiving a defective product. The thing looked like a beast though. It was a lot bigger than the graphire 4 I'm using now.
Summary: I'm a designer and digital painter. I use photoshop and Wacom Tablets for more than twenty years, and use my tablet up to 16 hours a day. I'm a super user and perfectly know how to install and uninstall the tablet properly. In the past year and a half, I replaced the Intuos 4 once, and the grip pen three times. The sensibility of the tablet is crap, it's very fragile, the pen tips don't last, and worse of all, the pen captor are very fragile.
Summary: I'm a heavy tablet user: professional CG artist who uses the tablet instead of a mouse. I decided to break down and upgrade my Intuos 3 to an Intuos 4. In hindsight, this was a mistake and a waste of time. 1) Surface is too rough and inconsistently so. I have to spend 24 bucks for a new "improved" sheet. 2) You'll go through nibs at a rate of 1 per session. Pathetic. Even Feng Zhu laments the fact in his podcast.
Summary: I can not believe this behave, according the package trucking, my wacon is delayed due wether conditions (¿?), but even so, they already charged the total amount on February 17th. I think that they should be sure that the custommer had received the goods before charging, because they are receiving my money for nothing!!!! Today is march 2nd, I have to pay my Amex Credit Card tomorrow but I'am still waiting for the product!!!!!
Summary: Warning: READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLING WACOM GIFT SOFTWARE I recently purchased from Amazon the WACOM Intuos4 (Small) Pen Tablet. The installation procedure requires that you select three "free" software items so I chose: 1. Nik Color Efex Pro 3 WE6 2. Wacom Brushes 3 3. Corel Painter Sketch Pad After spending the better part of two days fixing problems caused by at least two of those programs, this is what I have to report.
Summary: You can read about many pros here, I'll write some very disappointing facts about Wacom customer care. 1. Nibs flattering very quickly. Wacom says in it forum: "Put paper sheet on your tablet to reduce flattering". Yeah, I've bought tablet for $1400 (it's official price in Russia for Intuos4 XL) and now they offer me to stick a paper sheet on it! Great solution! Wacom knows about this problem for about a year, but they did nothing.
Summary: After time these mice develop a fault which results in a double-clicking action when the mouse is clicked once. I'm now on my eighth mouse. Usually they last a few months but each one has developed the same fault. Unfortunately, there is no way to take the item apart to clean it.
Summary: I bought this to use over bluetooth, as I'm sure everyone else did, so it came as something of a shock then to find that when using bluetooth, cursor tracking is very juddery, spluttery, and generally inaccurate. The mouse pointer skips along at half it's normal frame rate, and at least once or twice a second freezes for a few milliseconds, then skips back to where it should be. This not only looks terrible, but also makes it near impossible to use.
Dirt inside mouse after one year is beginning to make mouse unusable for me
29 November 2011
Summary: In a recent job I had the joy of using an Intuos3 tablet and mouse, which led me to purchase an Intuos4 XL tablet and mouse. I liked the precision I got from the previous Intuos3 mouse and this has continued onto the Intuos4. However, my low rating is for experiencing problems with the mouse due to what I think is dirt, yet not being able to clean it out, as it's a sealed unit. There is space for dust to make its way in around the mouse buttons and scroll wheel.
