Summary: The reason I'm giving this tablet two stars is to call attention to this model's design flaw, which is the USB cable/port. Although tablets are a great addition to the graphics professional, and one you really can't work w/o, the Intuous USB cable will eventually fail internally (This happens on the Intuous 4 also). It's simply lacking in quality control. Mine started failing after 2 years and now has completely failed.
Summary: I have been using this model since 2004, and have used many other models at previous jobs. Wacom is the main player in the tablet game, hence why I ordered this one. I built a pretty high end computer with top of the line processors and a top end video card to use with it. Never, NEVER, has it worked properly. When using memory intensive movements in Adobe Photoshop like smudge, airbrush, burning and dodging; it hangs up often after a few strokes.
Summary: Mine came with a major blemish -- blemish in that thus far this is not a functional impairment -- the clear plastic casing was split open for two inches along the top of the tablet. I immediately contacted Wacom who then claimed that this was a design flaw since the inception of the product, and they would not replace my tablet.
