Summary: I had the larger intuos a year ago loved it. It broke recently and I went through a string of off brand tablets like monoprice and huion but the drivers for those tablets were always so un-stable. to make a long story short I decided to buy an intous 3 again since I like the build of the older wacoms better than the nib eating newer models. allot of people are having trouble with the driver for this model. Just download the driver for the intuos pro, works like a charm!
Summary: This is a Wacom, so it is made well. Problem is they have discontinued driver support for their older tablets, and Windows will eventually not be able to update driver and will no longer recognize device. Get a newer one even though it costs a bit more, and you'll be much happier in the long run.
Summary: I love this graphics tablet - it was 'plug in ready' for both my PCs and my laptop, and works well with all my vector graphics and photo editing software (Gimp and Inkscape) out of the box, with very little hassle and configuration. The size of the tablet is just big enough to allow room for my XL size hands, and the pen touch pressure works extremely well depending on your needs. The mouse is somewhat redundant, in my opinion.
Summary: I've had this tablet for more than 6 years and it is -amazing-. It's so durable and I've tried getting new tablets (From wacom also I must mention) and over time the nibs wore down and the wires fray almost as though they are made to break within 6 months of purchase. But THIS! Is superb. If this awesome tablet ever breaks down on me I'm not going for a fancy new model I'll just get another one of these.
Summary: I too am a left handed designer. Here is my problem. When I write or draw, my paper is at a 45 degree angle. Meaning that that page is flat on the surface, but I tilt it almost sideways so the lines are diagonal to write or draw. The previous pads I had could not accommodate this and working with then was beyond frustrating. Does this new tablet function if it is placed at a diagonal slant? Thank you.
Summary: I have had this tablet for three years. It works nicely, even though I have been bring it with me to work everyday. I use it to draw, and I'm pleased with its sensitivity (I tried Graphire before, and definitely prefer the Intuos3). Also, for everyday computer usage, I am a lot more efficient when I am using a tablet vs. a mouse / touch pad. The small size is not an issue.
Summary: I just got my Intuos 4x5 tablet. I fell in love with it the moment the pen touched the writing surface. It is amazing! I had wondered if I should go with a larger writing area, but I honestly love the comfort of the tablet's size. Since your focus is on the computer screen, the smaller tablet requires little hand movement to cover the screen with images.
Summary: The product works great! I have been using it for about a month now and have had no trouble getting the hang of it. The pressure sensitivity is much better than the graphire tablet. I would recommend this tablet to anyone.
