Great Purchase

Kody Mceachin "silent knight", Amazon
7 March 2014
  • Summary: Tablets are quite pricey but the beauty of the Intuos2 is its vast functionality and even with its age (think OS9) it still works VERY well with 10.6 Not only that, with this model the mouse & pen dont need batteries. This tablet is PERFECT!

Strange Shank, Amazon
7 April 2013
  • Summary: I upgraded to this from a bamboo and I'm very happy with it, the buttons are just a bit weird... hard to hit on the right spot, easy to accidentally hit. that sort of thing. and they are prelabled. bluh.

Lasts forever

J. Na "dork", Amazon
10 July 2012
  • Summary: I bought the smallest size (4x5)so its a bit different but... I bought this when I was in 8th grade. I didn't have that much money at the same time but wanted to get intuos (rather than graphire) because of the pressure levels and oh boy, am I glad. I've graduated from college and now am working as a designer. I bought this about 12 years ago and it's literally been around the world and have been banged around alot.

if all hardware computer products were this good...

Nine-Oh-Nine "Tommy", Amazon
6 January 2005
  • Summary: I think anybody who buys a wacom (intuos) knows what they buy, and why. All my high expectations are fulfilled. It works perfectly. The mouse is for both right and left-hand users, has too sharp angles and only has the basic buttons so its ergonomy is not great. This means as the only pointing device for some it is insufficient (but I already have two other on the same computer so for me no issue) The drivers and modification software is excelent.

if you really love blue and old software then....

Matthew K. Maloney "mkmaloney", Amazon
26 August 2003
  • Summary: this product is for you. No one should be confused...this product is not the most current model from Wacom. The only reason why you would buy this product is if you are in love with the color blue and don't mind the older software. This product is bundled with Photoshop Elements 1.0 and Painter 1.01. Painter 1.01 is not compatible with OSX. In contrast to customer reviews, Photoshop Elements 2.0 has NEVER been bundled with this model.

Artist must-have tool

A. C. Bie "altruistic", Amazon
10 July 2003
  • Summary: Wacom rocks when it comes to any kind of tablet, but this is far better than the Graphire we used to use. It does cost a lot, but it is by far the best tablet on the market that you can get. We previously had the Graphire 4x5 and this was a nice replacement. We are happy with the size. It is more realistic as far as scale compared to your monitor output.

great tablet, unsatisfied with the mouse

mcoopers, Amazon
20 March 2003
  • Summary: I was so excited when I received the tablet. Although it is quite expensive,it is a must-have tool for any digital artist. I used the graphire(512 levels of pressure) before, however I don't feel much difference with Intuos2 (1024 levels). The included software is great. The driver setup is also excellent. It allows you to set the button to perform different functions in different program. The pen is also very comfortable to use. It came with few spare pen tips too.

The only choice in graphics tablets

Anthony Peak, Amazon
10 February 2003
  • Summary: The Wacom Intuos2 6x8 is the tablet I use to create all my Painter sketches. It's actually 13.5" x 10.2" x .6" in size. 6x8 is only the usable area. It has an impressive 1024 pressure levels, though even when using programs without pressure levels such as oekaki boards online, the difference between a tablet and a mouse is outstanding. However, when using programs like Painter that use the pressure, it's so well implemented it's second nature.
