Wait if you can, Use it every day if you can't

M. Wang, Amazon
22 September 2009
  • Summary: EDIT IMPORTANT UPDATE 4 years later I lowered the rating as the converter box fried itself less than 4 years later. This is unacceptable, a huge design flaw and I have contacted wacom. Verdict: Definitely try it before you buy it as it is a love it hate it type of product. However, my recommendation is *not* to buy it at $900 and wait for it to drop further in price to the mid-high $700s for new.

Outdated, overpriced, malfunctioning dissapointment

K.W., Amazon
10 January 2013

Shortcomings disgraceful for the price

Mr. J. W. Campbell "Jim Campbell", Amazon

  • Summary: As a design/graphics professional, I know a number of artists who have recommended the Cintiq, although the majority that I know have the 21" version. I can't speak to the quality of the 21", but the shortcomings of the 12WX are nothing short of disgraceful at this price point. Pressure sensitivity is not as responsive as a standard Intuos tablet -- achieving a variation in line weight is an infuriatingly inexact process requiring multiple Undos.
