Summary: I wanted to get these for 5 of my 6 grandkids. As it turned out, only 2 of the parents actually thought the kids would use them. The older boys-ages 7 and 8 use their electronic items more often than not. However, the 5 and 6 year old children who are home schooled find them to be VERY useful. When my daughter of the 2 year old saw it-she ordered one for her son. He loves to have his daddy draw pictures.
Summary: Our kids LOVE to draw and doodle! We go through so much paper...it's ridiculous! When I saw these, I knew they would be a perfect fit for our family. I bought one in three different colors for our 6, 8, and 11 year olds. They've had a ton of fun drawing on them and we've already cut down on all the paper we were using :) They can doodle til their hearts are content. They will also be great for road trips and for homeschooling!
Summary: All kids love this. Perfect for car and plane rides.Super tough as ours have been dropped repeatedly and still work perfectly. Several of my friends have bought them for their kids after seeing ours. People tend to liken it to an etch a sketch, but I see it more as a dry erase board. Except that you can erase all or nothing, so it's not really ideal as a message board or running to-do list. But perfect for drawing without using paper.
Summary: I bought one each of these for my boys for our impending airplane ride. I gave them to them on the plane and they played with these for so long! It was great! I have a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old and they both appreciate it. I want one too! It would be great for daily notes between spouses whom are on different schedules, grocery lists, teaching your child to write, etc. This really is a very cool tablet.
