Summary: Works well with my HP Pavilion DV7 & Windows 7 Ultimate. No software issues. Nice sensitivity variance also. Only one problem; but it can be avoided. Don't drop the pen; even a few inches. Not that the pen will break, but that the tip will fly out at mach 2 and you'll never see it again. Happened to me when the pen slipped from my grip. Good thing there's three tips.
Summary: I was looking at the wacom, l almost got it but I don't have a lot of room on my desk top and just was looking for a starter tablet. Everything written about the hot keys not working after ore day or so was right on point. I set my hot keys, and a few hours later the active area expanded to what seems like the edge of the pad rendering the hot keys useless. I guess a larger active area is desirable, but I'd appreciate it if the thing worked as advertised.
Summary: Solid construction and nice packaging. while setting this up, I got the feeling that Genius is really trying to give their customers as much as the price point allows. Nice drivers. Device intially wouldn't work. After some flubbing around, it turned out that the pen battery included with the device was DOA. Had to replace with a new one before unit would function. Learning to hold the pen without accidently hitting the pen buttons takes some practice.
Summary: I am not an expert in graphic design. I choose this tablet becuase it provides me the price & performance I need. First of all, the compact size made it very easy to store or even just leave on your desk. 2nd, the function it provides fits most of the intermediate graphic design users. (that's what I wouldl consider myself as) and the last, the price is just too great to be true! especially compare to that super name brand Wxxxm.
Summary: I use photoshop a lot for my major in CRT, my old tablet was too outdated for my Mac I had just bought. So I had to buy a new tablet. I wanted an inexpensive one that would work well and have a decent pressure sensitivity level. This little tablet was my savior. I was worried I wouldn't love it as much as my old tablet, but it was easy to use and i just adored it.
Summary: I ordered this tablet and was pleased with it for a while, everything worked great. Then the penpressure stopped working, and I kept having these blackouts on our computer after I installed the tablet. Eventually it ruined the computer and I had to get it fixed. It's cheap, both in money and in making. The computer guy said it was the tablet that wrecked our computer. I do not recommend buying it.
Excerpt: Sometimes it takes me a few tries before the tablet responds. I’m not sure if it has to do with just certain areas of the tablet or maybe how hard I click on the tablet with my pen. For beginners like me, the Genius EasyPen i405 is enough. It’s inexpensive compared to Wacom but still does the job. Maybe when I have the budget I can upgrade to a Wacom but for now the Genius Tablet has all the basic features I need.
Summary: I LOVE this tablet I decided to order it one night on Labor Day and it came the 2nd day I was waiting, which was 3 days before the minimum arrival date. The pen does require a AAA battery but it comes with one in the box, I didn't see any hassle in inserting the battery into the pen. It also comes with easy instructions on how to install the tablet.
