Summary: I was so excited when I saw this tablet and it was reasonably priced. But when I received it I had major problems trying to install it. This isn't even worth the 1 star minimum that I was required to give it! If your a Mac person this will be the biggest waste of time for you. The installation software says that it is for both Mac and PC. It absolutely isn't! So I went to the Adesso website to see if there is a different driver that I could download. There was..
Summary: After reading the reviews, I realized there were varied results from those who had purchased the Adesso Cyber-tablet 6400. Since my daughter was going to use the pen and tablet in MS Paint, I thought it should work fine. Was I wrong! The wireless mouse was irratic and the the pen worked about 50% of the time. When the pen did work, it responded well after her mation started. Our computer is an average P-III Dell with plenty of memory. For the price, I expeced more.
Summary: What ever you do dont buy this thing. It worked really well for the first few months, then it started to screw up. After that it messed up all of my programs on my computer and whenever my dad tried to fix it the tablet said, "KERNEL ERROR" most of you know what a kernel is,and for those who dont it means like(computer terms) the internal program. WHAT EVER YOU DO DONT BUY THIS THING. It messed up my whole computer(it was new too!), and it could mess up yours too.
Summary: I bought this item because of wrist soreness using the mouse with AUTOCAD software. After drawing for awhile the pen hangs up and you have to wait for it to start working again. I tried it with WIN 98SE and WIN XP (two different computers) and then I e-mailed Adesso and they suggested using a driver for a different tablet on the net. This didn't fix it. It might be a static electricity problem with the pen and case but I am not sure.
Summary: Save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration. I had sucessfully used a Wacom PenPartner for several years and, when I bought a new computer in December, decided to get a new pen. The driver that came with the Adesso CyberTablet is several years old and was very unstable. After a few minutes of use, the pen and included Adesso mouse, stop responding, although the mouse that came with computer still work fine.
Summary: Very unimpressed. The mouse jumps with every click and results in many miss-clicks when trying to select screen items or menu options, the mouse functionality is unacceptable. The pen on the other hand works well. I had to plug my old mouse back in to use in place of the poor quality wireless mouse that comes with the product.
Summary: The Adesso tablet requirements say Mac OSX but the one I just bought for my daughter only works with a FOUR YEAR OLD operating system - OS9. The fine print in the manual (after you bought the thing) says check the site for new driver info. When you go to the site it tells you FILE NOT FOUND. Beware this SCAM!
