Summary: This product was released just before one of the Bush administration's rebate incentives. Shortly thereafter, the company that created it exited the portable GPS business making it all but impossible to update the device. Save yourself the aggravation(and some money),use the GPS app on your smart phone.
Summary: Lots of features in this GPS however two different units were tested and found to de-tune below room temperature and refuse to lock on any satellites. If you can keep it above 75°F, it seems to be a good unit. Numerous tests were run with the units and it was confirmed that lock was lost below room temperature.
Summary: I had this unit for one year. The battery wouldnt stay up unless you had it pluged in all the time. When I bought it it had two year old maps on it and no way to up date it. I got in touch with v7 and was told that nothing could be done about it. I first called Amozon and the warranyt was over with them. After threating them with never buying from them again they gave me a refund.
Summary: my gps stopped working 1 week after i got it and i am getting no help from the people that made it so im sat here with a crap gps that i cant get fixed THANKS AMAZON.COM FOR NOT TELLING ME THE GPS IS OUT DATED AND THE COMPANY NO LONGER MAKES THESE GPS OR UPGRADES THEM.
Maps not updated since 2007, probably won't EVER be.

Summary: DON'T BUY THIS UNLESS YOU'RE TRAVELING BACK IN TIME. Yes, the price is right, but like most things there's a reason. V7's website has said "check back in a few weeks" for a LONG time. I assume they've gone (long) out of business. The maps on this device are so outdated that they're worthless. Any business that's been started since 2007 isn't on the device. Any changes to the world since 2007 aren't available.
Summary: Originally thought not a bad unit for the price. After 18 months, battery would no longer hold a charge. Since there is a two year warranty, I contacted NAV and sent the unit back. The returned it to me and the battery still seems to die very quickly and not hold a charge very long.
Summary: I purchased this GPS system so that I could drive without trying to read computer generated map directions. I'm not stupid by any means--very technology savvy...however, after hours and hours of trying to get this system to give me directions to even just 1 location...I'm giving up! If I have to pay more for a more user friendly system, I will!
Summary: I bought this GPS device in April '09 from Amazon, for an anniversary gift. It has proved less than useful. I have tried to learn how to return it but the packaging was discarded so am unable to get the manufacturers information. Can you help ?
Summary: Pros: I was excited when I recieved this item and you can read for youreslf all the features. Cons: THE BATTERY LIFE IS APRX 20 - 35 MIN AT THE MOST CONSERVATIVE SETTINGS. THIS DEFEATS ALL THE FEATURES BECAUSE THEY ARE OF NO USE ON BATTERY POWER....BUYER BE AWARE!
Summary: Battery lased a scant 15 to 20 minutes. Unit sounds like a loud railroad crossing just prior to shutting down due to lack of power. I tried to charge the unit three times and got the same result each time. Plotting a pretty easy 30 minute drive in northern NJ gave a convoluted route and repeatedly told me to turn around when it made absolutely no sense. Going back for a refund.
