Summary: Nice display but hard to navigate thru. The menu system is not very intuitive and you can't just go back from several of the screens which means you have to start over. The routing function is ok if you are going to stay on the hwy but otherwise it is lacking. If you can pick one up for under 20 bucks it might be ok but you would be better off to invest in a name brand unit.
Summary: This basic ViaMichelin X-930 Portable Handheld GPS Receiver was good for the cheap price, but I haven't been able to find updated maps for it. It will get you where you are going, but may take longer if there are new roads that are not in the unit. Purchased on Feb 05, 2010 for only 46.90 which included shipping, made it a deal to good to pass up since I didn't own a GPS.
Summary: I purchased the X930 for my wife. The con they list is probably the most important fact they can mention. It is difficult to the point of impossible (occasionally) to input and find locations. It would appear from the product's website that they have discontinued the product and even the website is somewhat difficult to get around. My friend has a Garmin and I recommend their product over this one with no reservations.
Summary: Out of the box - it hasn't been easy to figure out how to get around. I haven't had time to read the manual but I never had to with my Garmin. It didn't charge in the cigarette lighter on my rental car and left me stranded in Dallas - Lost. I had to call for help. The map did not reflect road changes that were made at least 10 years ago. Out of date cartography!-- Frustrating. Whole freeways missing.
Summary: This item is hard to follow the instructions and once you think that you have them corrected, you get an error message saying that your information does not match your search. I also tried the instructions on the web site which are identical to the inclose instructions and still the same results. Tried different methods , still same errors. Not worth all this problems! Thinking of returning the 2 items I requested.
Summary: Even though this the first GPS i tried/bought, i did not like the features much. After buying i saw other ones in the store and found out that if i had spend $100 more i would have got a much better one than this 'good looking not so useful gadget'. Would'nt recommend anyone to buy it.
