Summary: I'm pretty pissed with this gps. I did buy this in 2006, and it was amazing then, but now everything is outdated. Nothing is right, it doesn't even have my house...seriously piece of junk. No updates ever, I'm going to have to hack it to get tomtom or something on it, worthless. DONT BUY!
Summary: This product is just bad. It froze at critial times (often). It was hard to reboot. It gave me wroong directions several times (even took me threw NYC when I wanted to go to upstate NY. Terrible product! At one point, the unit frooze for good and could not be fixed. The software is useless.
Summary: This unit is essentially a paperweight. The maps are ridiculously old and there is no chance of getting updated versions, since ViaMichelin is no longer making GPS units. They have also turned a deaf ear to the existing customers who are begging for new maps.
Summary: If you want a product that uses maps from 2005 and is accurate about 65% of the time, this unit is for you. I have tried repeatedly to get updated maps to no avail. Every time I call customer support I talk to some very nice people who tell me that they're still waiting on news of when the updates...
Summary: ViaMichelin is going out of GPS business. You will be buying a unit that will be discontinued and presumably neither supported or updated. See below: ViaMichelin, the subsidiary of the French tyre manufacturer specialising in digital travel assistance products, has stated it will no longer...
Summary: I absolutely CANNOT recommend this GPS considering all the name brand options in this price range. I purchased it based on the price and reviews and felt I had done well. I had no need for the extra bells and whistles that others come with, it was a better price.
Summary: I was excited about getting a GPS and after seeing the price on this one and reading lots of favorable reviews i picked this one up. The unit is sleek and nice looking. Thats all is good about it. I punched in my office address which has been in existence for at least 10 years, it did not show up.
Summary: The X-930 is unable to enter GPS coordinates with greater than 2 digits of Longitude degrees, making it a useless feature for half the globe, from roughly west of the Mississippi River to Singapore. I thought this was going to be a very useful way to enter Points of Interest.
Summary: I bought this as my first GPS and really enjoyed the fact that I could figure out (yes, it is a little complicated to put in your address) how to put in my home address and that it got me home with the voice prompts.
Summary: I bought this unit and thankfully found out that it belonged in the trash before the return period had expired. It did not accurately pick up my position anywhere, and also had problems picking up signals. I actually punched in Miami and the unit came back with "address not found" several times.
