Summary: This is my first sat nav. It took quite some time to choose which make and model. For the most part it performs admirably. It is easy to interact with the touch screen controls. It did not take long to understand how to operate it. The voice direction is clear and precise.(actual human voice not electronic) Advance lane warning really does help.
Summary: I have found the product to be of high quality with a good screen. I clearly still need to read the manual as the thing beeps at me and various icons appear which I don't understand. It could be better in situations such as when leaving the M4 for the N25 south with gave me lane guidance of two out of four possible when it should have told me that I should really be in the left most one (it needs to think the next move ahead when it is very close) Another minus point...
Summary: Long story short - felt a bit let down by TomTom with poor advice about an earlier replacement so tried Amazon. XXL IQ is so much more rapid in finding satellites, the screen is extrememly clear and readable but, the only down-side, an older version of Europe map is installed; obviously more geared for Central European market (evidenced by lack of English instructions in package). Apart from that relatively minor point, only rectified after more expense - a good buy.
Summary: It's a decent Sat Nav, only used it in the UK but it does the job. The integral mount is excellent, stops it falling off mid journey. Not compatible with traffic receiver despite what some websites may tell you. It isn't really a touch screen as you really need to poke it to get a response. The unit is probably too big as I think the XL would be large enough. My main gripe with this unit is the battery.
Summary: This is my first sat nav so I have little to compare too. I have generally found it has worked fine and got me from one place to another without drama, however there has been a couple of glitches :- - When updating the maps on the 1st day, the system hung and I had to reset to factory defaults and start again. It then worked fine, not sure where I went wrong the first time.
Summary: This SatNav works well but has taken a little getting used to compared to my TOM TOM Go 700 that my Wife now uses. It is strange to have to select a country when travelling abroad but works very well otherwise.
Summary: I bought the TomTom XXL IQ Routes Europe as I was going on a tour of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic. I set up my routes prior to departing the UK and was amazed that on every leg of the route I had planned, the unit put me right outside of the hotels in which I was staying. Not a single problem anywhere. Downside is that there is no SD card slot or bluetooth which would have been handy.
